Title: Let's Bring Back Some Respect For Each Other
Post by: FreedomHill on August 25, 2024, 10:39:40 PM
I usually find that my time on Horseplop is informative, and it is a decent place for news and opinions. But sometimes the language and the lack of respect for the posters and the horsemen get me down. So, I took the initiative to create a discussion forum similar to Horseplop, but without the venom, and where everybody reasonably respects one another.  And it is working out well so far.

So if you are looking for a break from Horseplop from time-to-time, please check us out at https://www.talkinghorseracing.com (https://www.talkinghorseracing.com)

Whoa, this might go over like a turd in a punch bowl. Using this site to promote another forum just might show you the door!

Best of luck!

Wonder what the owner said when they found out the horse died or did they own themselves?  I doubt it's Ian.  People who rob, steal and commit crimes usually don't want to see or hear truth.

They don’t give a shit. They are well aware of what’s going on with their horses. On to the next.

Two weeks ago a couple people here brought up your site, on two separate threads.  Want to know how much response they got?  Zero.

Why you ask? Because the attraction to horseplop is not horse racing per se, it's about horse racing personalities or people.  Which threads have the most replies and views?  Unless it's about Karl it's always the shit talking ones. What topics get the biggest responses? Four years ago it was Surick and Allard, The past couple it's SCM.  Although I wasn't around here when it started, I would think that by the name alone anyone would understand that the premise is to talk shit.  Leave out the racism and politics and this site is fine and way more enjoyable than a few owners and fans patting each other on the back, redboarding, and advocating useless betting strategies.

You say it's working out well but all I see is a bunch of nothing with little current interest. Is that why you are trying to tout it here?  Your most ever online was 82 two weeks ago and here is your current info at 10AM today

Total 33 users including 4 members, 29 guests online

Most users ever online were 88, on August 20, 2024 @ 3:06 PM

Good luck dude but I predict you will not be successful or come anywhere near the views that this site has.

Not a coincidence.  They only have a couple of guys posting regularly and both are Stable owners.  They also started a thread about them and an update on the horse Freedom Hill.

Is John Frank signed up on the site yet? It's not a real horse racing site without JF.

Freedom: It seems apparent that there is little interest in your site based on your recruiting
effort on here. Here's an idea: I'm sure AMac for a 'NOMINAL' fee could put togetether a location
for you 'STABLERS' to discuss how much fun you are having and your mutual love for your Godfather
AMac. Granted it won't create the nauseous feeling that permeates any venue where your group
congregates but think how friendly and cordial everyone will be. I encourage you to try that. Now
run along. Don't bother to write and by all means don't forget to go get fucked. tmbz1

Honestly, I totally appreciate your feedback.  My site (https://www.talkinghorseracing.com (https://www.talkinghorseracing.com)) isn't for everyone either.  There's a place for everything.  Horseplop has a lot of good information, and I'm not trying to take any members away from it.  I'm just offering a different perspective that some may find healthy.

Horseplop has nothing to fear from me.

BTW, my forum just passed it's one-month anniversary.  We are the new kids on the block.  There's room in this space for everyone.

I am a Partner in Freedom Hill.  I'm new at fractional ownership.  But without it, I would never be able to get into the game.  I own a total of 12 shares spread over 11 horses right now.

I'm not here to defend TheStable.ca or condemn it or Anthony.  I appreciate the constant communication from him.  The last time I owned racehorses was in 1988/89 with David Rovine in two of his partnerships.  It was a lot of fun then.  And now I'm back!

You must be doing the same as Harnessdriver.com .
The moderator and the site seem to be set up to defend cheaters
 in the business.
I got banned because of calling out cheaters.
Supposed to be a discussion board.

Isn't horseplop supposed to be the same?

Look at some of the posts here--racing and otherwise!

Too many personal, racing, and political issues over ideology!
