Lagace fined for conversing on track.
What a stupid rule.
They can travel together talk to each other off track etc.
Was he talking to himself or other party not wanting to talk.
Lucky this judge is not at Grand River or Mohawk.
He would not be able to keep on top of this terrible infraction.

Unless the judges can hear what they’re saying, it’s a stupid rule. Like you said, they may be talking about anything but that race.

Two drivers conversing on the track before a race. gives signs of collusion. It should never be allowed, but unfortunately it isn't always strictly enforced..

Absolutely correct. It's a perception thing. If it unsettles the bettors, it's bad period.

Anybody, but me remember before cell phones when all the pay phones in the kitchen, grand stand, and barn area were shut off during the races?
If you were in an early race you had to walk across the street to a bar or gas station to call the owner.

I had forgotten that until you reminded me.........hell, you must be as old as I am !

I remember that when I used to go Aqueduct and Belmont Park with my father.
