What happened to her performance? She had ZERO starters at Pocono on Saturday.
I looked up her starters and in-to-go horses for the last week or so (just 2- and 3-year-olds)
First amount is the yearling sale price - second is the $ earnings to date
*Andy Miller co-owned or owned
2-YEAR-OLDS
*BRULEE (Walner) $280,000 - $9,900
*BELMONDO (Walner) $165,000 - $0
*HERECOMESDAJUDGE (Muscle Hill) $150,000 - $0
*READY FREDDIE (Googoo Gaagaa) $150,000 - $6,500
MY DEGENERATE (Muscle Hill) $125,000 - $0
PORTOBAROSSO AS NL (Bar Hopping) $72,000 - $66,957
*WORLD BY STORM (Tactical Landing) $25,000 - $28,500
3-YEAR-OLDS
CENTRAL PARK (Chapter Seven) $400,000 - $46,430
*VIVACITY (Muscle Hill) (3) $275,000 - $17,825
*ALL GREEN (Greenshoe)) $170,000 - $19,066
GREEN MERCEDES (Greenshoe) $120,000 - $64,056
MOONLIGHT MIKI (Always B Miki) $65,000 - $28,390
DUTEE CHAND S (Chapter Seven) $55,000 - $25,907

very simple answer - no more epo since the indictments back in 2020.
-
Andy is useless as a driver and the results continue to PROVE that the yearling game is 100% LUCK in the selections. The breeders make out like bandits with 90% of the horses sold NEVER breaking even year after year of racing with the training fees and initial price factored in.

Looks like a lot of owners that burned a lot of money!
Do they own interests in any of these horses?

Agree. After buying yearlings for the last ten years in Ohio and Lexington the only winners are the breeders. As I said before luck is the number one factor in being successful. However I think the breeders do have an idea which ones are the cream of their crops. That's why the large stables (Burkes included) talk to the breeders and take the time to look at yearlings before the auctions. Swingtown is a good example. One other observation is supply is starting to out weigh demand. Look how many Downbytheseasides are available this year at all the auctions compared to prior years.

For whatever reasons, you can say drugs if that's your opinion, or no particular reason at all-----trainers have bad years. I haven't looked at the numbers, but I don't think Alagna is having a good year. Has the barn broke $3mm in earnings? Last year he did what, $7.5mm? Linda Toscano, has she broken $2mm? Last year she did what, $4.5mm? Last year Burke did what, $28mm? He's where now, $11mm? Still a lot of money out there, and the BC, but I don't see the domination being able to replicate those numbers.
-
What does "mm" stand for? I thought that was millimeters.
If it's million then where did the extra "m" come from?
just curious

In finance and accounting, "mm" generally stands for millions. Force of habit I guess. I've used the single "m" as well.

For Burke, you have to add about $3 million for Michael Burke.

So maybe it's not such a bad year, LOL.

hey poker, thanks for starting and good initial info
oddly enough it seems the millers have become trotting trainers?? seems odd, do you really want to compete against ake, takter and the other swedes in trying to win trotting races
you make a valid point and yes i dont see alagna( and some others) setting the world on fire
and yes there is still a lot of money in sires finals and breeders crown etc
but someone is winning races and getting cheques
burke mostly and takter and ryder and pelling

Ronnie never has a bad year, 5% of 20+ million a year in his pocket. No downside

Nice summary
And I'll bet the numbers drop next year. These Millers been losing owners money for too many years/good old days are OVER
