He just took the first 5 races at Harrahs Philadelphia
-
You have to hate harness racing to hate YANICK GINGRAS he seems to give big prices a shot of winning and he knows the meaning of competing,,,,,,,,,,, He is one of the very few that creates payoffs and yes he drives for high powered guys,,,,,,,,,,,,,He is one of very few that are good for the game,,,,,,,

I totally agree....He just made it 6 in a row!
-
Its now 7,,,,,,,,,,,, wanted him to win as i bet 2 carryover and that was 640 down the drain and now i watch and root
-
But look who he is competing against !!!!
-
As ROY ORBISON would say its OVER,,,,,,,,
-
Why would anybody hate Yanick?
-
He has 8 wins but could easily have all 10 so far at Philly
-
The front end, slow half’s, and Burke must have been the bias today. Nothing special to see. Keep moving.
-
All heavy favs lol move on
-
9 wins in 11 races. tmbz1 tmbz1

Prices or not, I think it's an amazing feat to win so many races on a single card.
-
Agreed, Dougie, and but for two photos, would have won 11.

I did not see the card but just curious. How many were on the front end?
-
no burke horse and lots of Walter case type chalk,, The kind going off at 6-5 that should be much higher in odds
-
10 wins 2 places in 12 drives tmbz1 tmbz1 tmbz1 tmbz1 tmbz1

I don't care if all 12 were favored that is damn impressive
-
Last i checked the last off the pace track AL PACINO THREW a flame thrower to burn it down,,,,,I just love 4th over horses in racing these days,,,,,,, Today if they go 55 seconds to the half its over in most cases,,,,,,Soft 55 seconds with 10 horses on the rail is nothing,,,,,,,,
-
Give me racing with YANNICK AND JOEY BON AND SIMON ALLARD and even throw in GEORGE NAP and you will have good racing,,
-
Remarkable feat today. Not shocked, great stock other than nap no real drivers.
-
10 wins 3 places in 13 drives. tmbz1 tmbz1 tmbz1

If every one was on the front end, whats the matter? Checks won't cash? Gamblers won't get paid who bet him?
-
I am not a YG hater. I don't hate anyone, LOL. I am also not one of those who thinks he'd be a nobody without Burke. He's one of the top drivers in the game.....so, he can certainly "make" speed and he's good a getting a horse on the bit, into the bridle. However, I don't think he's a multi-dimensional driver and to me he lacks versatility as a driver. Is he known for run and gun? Sure. Is that all he does. No.....but he may like that, LOL.

Where is Harrahs ? Do people really go there ? Do they race those buggy races there ? Do they play for real money ?
-
And down goes Pigland!
-
Love Yannick tries all the time . Rather have him then Scotty money any day . Yannick just fires them out and see what happens. Glad he won 10 wish he won the entire card .

Yes, Walter did win 9 on a card at Yonkers. So did Luc, Stephane Bouchard, and Matt Kakaley. I remember Matt won 9 and finished second with the other.....all on a ten-race card, because it was just last summer.

Northfield used to race 14-16 races
maybe Merriman has had 10--but i rarely watch Ohio or Meadows racing

I analyzed the 2023 numbers.Yanick one the most money by far with a lot less starts than most of the top drivers. If I remember correctly, only Dunn had higher earnings per start. As far as the comment that Yanick drives for the top trainers, I don't think they got to be top trainers by choosing anything less than the best drivers to drive for them.
Yanick has made some bad drives as every driver has. I feel Burke would already have his hambo if not for a Yanick drive. Greatness does not mean perfect. Miller's drive lost the hambo for TCI. They all make mistakes. Yanick makes less mistakes when it matters.
-
honestly i feel because YG doesnt usually work out that golden 2nd over trip--like Campbell/Sears/Tetrick used a lot for 15 years or so--then there will always be doubt about him
i will give him credit for recognizing the game has changed and the front end is much more advantageous than it was 20 years or more ago--so he drives accordingly
-
Kootan i would say that you must be a huge chalk player that likes STEVEN SMITH, PAT LACHANCE AND SCOTT NEVER IN POSITION YOUNG,,,,,,,,,,, They all give up holes big time and only drive aggressive in bottom classes ,,,,,,,,,,,, WESTERN FAIR and GRAND RIVER are great tracks and Northfield with those flying turns and Yonkers now that is racing,,,,,,,,,, Speed maniacs have always made racing fun plain and simple,,,,,,,,,,,,,, LAWRENCE TAYLOR was my favorite football player as he played every down of his superb career for the fans,,,,,,,,,,, THat is entertainment to me,,,,, By the way today at philly YANICK wins one more if not for george nap and SIMON,,,,,, 4 WIDE FIRST TURN PARK,,,,,,,,,,,

I’m sure it’ll show up on ESPN tonight….cant wait to see if it does
If it does I’m sure it’ll mention the average payout of each horse
.05, .20, .10….im sure he shows up to race at Chester when he doesn’t have some power…..

Very good post as usual PAP and you are correct but in todays LOVE FEST AMONG TOP DRIVERS YANNICK is very much needed and with the pick 5 being most peoples go to bet he is a must as his over driving some bad horses creates payoff and by your posts i am going to say the pick 5 is your go to bet,,,,,,,,

i only play in tournaments at Mohawk-rarely wager into a mutual pool
he does overdrive more than a few, but also steals a few by being aggressive
he is about 2 for 50 in million dollar races-that is very telling

I remember night at Scioto in the 90's before Miller went east where he had 8 or 9. He dominated there the year or two before he went east.
-
He just took the first 5 races at Harrahs Philadelphia
He had an amazing day good for him. He’s a great driver and a good family man.
-
You could have replaced Tetrick or G Nap on all those drives and got the same results. It's not hard to point a 2/5 or 3/5 and just send them down the road.
