Title: Greenshoe
Post by: MIKE CAMPBELL on August 06, 2024, 12:21:25 AM
Anyone who thinks Greenshoe is a bust in the breeding shed is a moron. He will end up being the dominant sire of trotters. I watched his offspring win 5 today at The Red Mile. They are flawless gaited and fast AF.

If he’s going to be the dominant sire he’s behind the 8 ball already. 2 crops with a lot of depth made wise with over 200 of racing age foals he’s produced 3 100k earners. Breeders don’t give you a ton of chances, if a great horse doesn’t pop from this years two year olds or this years yearling crop, his stud fee and book quality will crater worse than Father Patrick’s.

Good sire yes

dominant, not even close.

You have to remember he got the best mares in these first two years.

How many people paid $25,000 to breed to him this year ??  How many would have bred to him for $5,000 or even $2,500 ?
