During the late 1940s, harness racing fans began to call Burright "Grandma Burright," a moniker that was perhaps first used when she raced at Roosevelt Raceway in August 1946.[10] Burright went on to have a successful career at pari-mutuel race tracks and the Harness Racing Museum & Hall of Fame elected her as an "Immortal" in 1994.

The queen is in the halls of fame in Illinois, Michigan and Florida.  There is also a short video about her.

I'll put my money on one of the toughest woman in Harness Racing. ANNE WHEELER with 816 career wins ..she's in her 80's and still has a few she trains on her farm. Anyone in NY Racing knows of her and Robert Keller her partner, a renowned veterinarian.
