147.1 in his first start by 9 lengths vs a bunch of chumps with a 26 second third quarter.
Put up that 146.2 world record last year on a 5/8s and did score a FFA win early at the Big M before tailing off and then taking the rest of the year off.
Will this be his year?

Unbelievable how these drivers just send these fucking horses right down the road like that. Why not go in 149.

No, He loves Chester and does this every year. Puts up a big number and tails off later. A total waste to do this first start in a cheap nw.

maybe they wanted to see if he is capable of it....
certainly was not challenged in this race, went 53.4 to the half but being able to rip off a 26 third quarter and still able to come home under wraps in 27.2 final quarter at least puts him up there as a challenger in the upcoming ffa races
his thing has always been he always lacked the heart when challenged but last year did win that Meadowlands FFA Stake and then on Big M pace night absolutely ruined a challenging Abuckabett Hanover but still held on for 3rd in a race Charlie May won.
The problem is when have you seen him not on the front, its like the only way he can race. So what are the odds he can hold off Bythemissal or Allywag if he cannot sprint away. I guess we will see soon enough. There is a $100K invite next week so I suppose there will be some good ones he will face.

Ruthless is one of those horses that if you don't get to him early, he swells up and jets away from just about anything.
-
How many times did G Nap beat him to the wire. this year Last year in his world record he slashed him 17 times while on top by 10. Tommy just wants headlines he don’t give 2 shots about the horses
-
Just watched the replay. Great job by Andy not beating the horse to death for a record
-
That is fast for Chhester. Good for Cancelliere. He won the Meadowlands Open too. Maximus Miki raced very well last night.
-
That was an interesting race. those were some tough FFA that Maximus Miki beat proving he is legit and a big effort from old timer Backstreet Shadow on the front end. Ken Hanover looks for real. Allywag was hopelessly blocked with no shot. Abuckett and Voukefalas (who shouldnt have been the fave) were just too far back and didnt have enough to sustain any rally
nice to see the Big M have a $46K Open with top stock like the good old days
-
If anyone knows the cancelliere assholes go to magical acres. Chesterfield nj go around to their barn you will see 100’s bottles syringes. Tubes funnels. Whatever it’s there!!!

Sorry never saw this thread when I started the other one.

Ruthless wins Auger in 147.2 holding off late charging Ken Hanover. 26 second third quarter was amazing. Desperate Man parked much of the mile finished 4th. Bythemissal was a tour around the oval 5th

Bythemissal was a disgrace! (did not bet, so not a "sour grapes" comment, just an observation.)
Twin B was awesome; just flew home in 53.2 like she was dancing.

Ken Hanover is really, really good.

Agree, he will upset some big races this year.

Matt K is absolutely worthless as a driver. To get parked from the rail is absolutely embarrassing. He drove like the cowboy that he is for big money 2 starts back at Yonkers with Desperate Man.

The hack should stick to pocono
