Billy Dobson made the ultimate mistake of overestimating his horse, Queen Indeed. Buddy Gilmour used to preach underestimating your horse. Dobson could have taken more of a breather in the third quarter. He went the two polls between the half and three-quarters in 14.2 and 14.1. Although slightly pressured he did not have to excel so much. Harold Story used to say, "If you only got a gallon of gas left don't floor it." Down the stretch, Queen Indeed tired, allowing Chris Long to run him down in the upset.
