Title: Sandy Ridge at The Red Mile

Question - not sure how much they change the track in the stretch to accomodate quarter horses.

Is there still training going on there ? -- they got the half mile track inside.

A ludicrous meet with short fields, but the quarterhorse meet license holder can’t miss a season while a new track is being built.

It's good for the horsemen -- saw a $5 claimer go for $10k

Costs them a small fortune to race the 1/4’horses there but they would have lost the casino license if they didn’t have a meet last year and again this year

Didn't know they didn't winter train there.

Never win 1 other than a maiden or claimer, going long for $130,000.
They also extended their meet from the customary early January - early April to, Nov-May. And it just keeps getting better.

I had one that I own a sliver of win at Oaklawn, $25k claimer go for $56,000 Another was third in the high level allowance that go for $130k CRAZY money at Oaklawn.
