Very odd to have show wagering in a 4 horse field. Their rules must allow for that.
Did they also allow wagers on the tri?

Their foolishness will continue until they get some more 'severe' minus pool pain with 50g and up show pool dumps

they do it increase handle

they don't pay for the minus pool unless the bet was made on track--the venue where the bet was made is responsible for the minus pool--this was implemented when "net pool pricing" was started around 20 years ago

Hawthorne take show on 4 horse fields as does Assiniboia and most of the Canadian maritime tracks

some tracks allow it if there is a very late scratch
