there are still honest trainers ... sadly, you can find them at the bottom of the win % listing at any track
-
Had more than 15 trainers over the years.
I'd say 33%

IVE BEEN RACING FOR 22 YRS .
IN IMFHO I THINK ITS ABOUT 20 TO 25 PERCENT HONESTY
AND SHRINKING DAILY
,,WHATS HAPPENING AT THE BIGM FOR EGGZAMPLE IS A DISGRACE
SUSPENDED TRAINERS ,,,JUST MOVING ON TO THE NEXT GUY WAITING WITH NO REPROCUSSIONS..
AND THE SAVIOUR DOING NADA.
,,TRACK OWNERS AND USTA HAVE TO LOOK AT THEMSELVES
ARE YOU BEING HONEST AS POSSIBLE TO THE OTHERS WHJO ARE NOT SUSPENDED
GURAL IS AN EMBARRESSMENT .

Certailnly no Gural fan, but it seems Gural owns you 24/7/365. All you do is cry about him from 1000 miles away. The guy could buy and sell you 1000 times over, so get over it. What is an embarressment is your horses stats from the 2023 year. Get over it, maybe Jeff will send you a free buffet coupon for Hambo day 11.wp

No integrity in this industry. Period.
-
At this point probably about 5% are honest and you can usually find them at the bottom of the standings at each track.
Nothing changes ... I owned only for a little while many years ago and didn't continue because of the dishonesty in the training ranks. Our best horse got stolen by the trainer because we wanted to switch barns, we got him back but who needs that shit?
-
80 if you exclude Erv Miller
-
It varies from track to track.

No = none, nada, zilch. That's an overstatement.
And, frankly, I take it as a personal affront. Altho, I'll admit - it is pretty lonely
-
trainers in the 60s 70s 80s 90s were some of the crookedest scum in the
history of scum.. much easier to cheat back then.. wake up dipshits
-
I could be way wrong here, but I think cheating today is more trainer-driven than it was in the 70's. I'm assuming that driver shenanigans have been constant.
Does my theory hold water?

Thanks to the increase of purses in most of the Casino States the honesty meter is on a very slim glide path! There's enough money in the game now for a Priest to get to telling tales! The sport has become the perfect place to start an Investigative business! You better look before you leap nowadays! Check twice has been changed to you sure that you want to do this? Cash has been joined by horses as the root of all evil!
-
I've only had 2 trainers in this business for 20 years. Have my trainers had suspensions?---yes they have. anything serious? no shit happens and life goes on. If i didn't believe in my trainers, i wouldn't have been in the business!
-
You must inject to collect I don't know how anyone can think they can race and make money without cheating
-
It's the same as it always was, going back to the days when the mob stuffed Buddy Gilmore in his trunk because he was supposed to finish out of the money and somehow ran 2nd. I'd give it 10 percent. When Henri Filion fixed that race at Yonkers and tried to give the numbers to Leo Bauer, Leo didn't want em, so there's one honest person, lol.
-
Bauer was a rat He wasn't honest he got caught and did what he had to do to get out of it. At Yonkers they found a guy dead in the trunk of his car in the parking lot.
-
About as honest as a car dealership!

Buddy Gilmour also got his ass kicked before they stuffed him in that trunk. That was back in the old days of RR.
I think the fixed race you speak of at YR was the Suzy Stonyford race, Herve was the ringleader of that doozy.
-
There was another driver who got beat up and left for dead alongside of the road on his way to the track. It wasn't publicized he was in the hospital for a while.

Filion asked Bauer before the race if he was leaving because he was the only speed out of the 7 hole at like 10-1. Filion was even money from the 3. Bauer shoots to the top. Lines up 7-1-2-3. Filion makes a feeble 1st over bid. Finishes 7-1-2 with Bauer on top at 10-1. Somebody bets $500 straight tri Yonkers 7-1-2 and the thing pays like $90 with chalk out out. Judges investigate, they question Bauer, Bauer says Filion asked him before the race if he was leaving. Bauer said yes and Filion said good I'll give you the numbers. Bauer said no I don't want them and told the judges all of this. Henri never drives at Yonkers again.

About as honest as a car dealership!
Easy now! Luc is only a car salesman, not a dealership owner!
