What does the term standardbred racing mean to you --- is there a consensus ?
-
It came from the time standard back in the day. The standard time for a pacer or trotter.
-
Yep, It was 2.30 for a mile
-
Did they tube for that?
-
on the Cumberland KY web site they explained standardbred comes from "because the race standard is a mile."
Now I am not sure if I should believe the website that uses a European shot of racing on their racing page
-
Tell Cumberland they are wrong.
-
Lets ask Honest Adam Bowden where the term came from.

Tell Cumberland they are wrong.
I would be impressed if they just changed the European harness picture on their site.
