Don't think I've ever seen so much practically unbeatable chalk in one card as this Sunday for the Red Mile championships. Mohawk was bad a few weeks ago with a 10.50 pick five for a buck. If this one is the same races as last week 3 -7 It's going to be shorter unless the weather totally destroys things.
R3 Geocentric
R4 Twin B Joe Fresh
R5 Karl
R6 Better Is Nice
R7 Tactical Approach ... maybe you can throw in a couple others in that one like Ari Ferrari and French Wine
Race 1 has the unbeaten French Champagne
Race 2 has Allegiant ... maybe Date Night Hanover could compete
Race 8 Confederate
9 and 10 are more competetive My over under for the topic is 6 ... it could go as high as 7 or 8. I think all this chalk will hurt the overall pools.

Tactical Approach isn't a lock! French Wine can trot! Should be a better race than most of the others.
-
Better Is Nice is far from a lock -- he races green and couldn't get past Dancin Champion last start.
-
Never said anyone was a lock just that they might be bet that way. Better is Nice was 1 to 9 last time ... Public isin't as sharp as a true handicapper and may just forgive. There is still not a lot to choose from in those races

True, the 2yr old pace is a very weak field. Ivy Park has looked lame every start -- he finally ran in the stretch last start -- and he's the third choice.

Agreed, horrible betting card!

Prewitt's #senditinarmy hasn't exactly been marching to the Red Mile. Pool totals are horrible

Here's todays main story on Harness Racing Update. Do you think we can sue him for getting the idea here? At least he told us there will be a pick 8 which I had no idea about then.
'Will favorites rule across Kentucky Sire Stake finals?
Heading into Sunday’s (Sept. 17) eight $400,000 Kentucky Sire Stake Championship Series finals, perhaps the question that should be asked isn’t how many of those races will be won by favorites but will favorites sweep every race?
The answer to that question and any in between will impact the unique 20 Cent Pick-8 wager being offered across the eight Championship Series Finals. With a $10,000 guaranteed pool and a low 15 per cent takeout, the wager will offer a mandatory payout for the day. If all or most of the obvious horses throughout the day win, the payout will be miniscule"

Gabe Prewitt is a great guy in my book but even Gabe can’t make the Army send in $$ with cards like these.
