Which NY based trainer/driver hailing from Brooklynn NY, was at the forefront of the Australian / New Zealand pacer craze and the surge in importing them in the early and mid 70s.
Hint 1 - his son would go on to drive YR / RR / Big M
Hint 2 - Fuguzzi did catch paddocks for them as a young lad. Prolly wont help LOL, but true
Feel like Wiseowl, Theokodjak, Superfecta, Seattle Slew will be all over this one 73cv.2

Interesting guess. But wrong, sorry. His son did drive. Louie and Jimmy were good people. Louie switched to runners and had some success. Stand up guy!

EXCELLENT WE HAVE A WINNER!! Ronnie, his son did train and drive too. Funny sidenote, Ronnie's trunks were always showroom new and featured his hometown of Howard Beach, Brooklyn Ny bottom right hand corner. Not exactly horse country, but definitely Mafia country ;D

Race fixing , wearing a wire on and off track, entering federal witness protection until he was sick and came out a year before he died. Great horseman and I am in no way speaking ill of him but facts are facts You probably didn't know, sorry

Mike was a "last minute" driver on one of my good trotters, as Casey didn't show up. The trotter was in very deep, but Gags gave him a rail-skimmer and won at 45-1 with him. I did not have a penny on him. When we took the photo he asked if I had bet on him, and sheepishly, I had to tell him "no"... which was the truth. That was my only interaction with him, but he certainly gave my horse a good steer.
