Does anyone know how long a drug violation can be appealed? 2 1/2 years ???

as long as youve got money to pay the lawyers the appeal can go on for ever

Thats the problem the fines hold no weight. The appeal process is absurdly outside the normal course of civil law, and generally determined by mindless personnel.

Interesting blend of rulings today, that's for sure! The penalty for Fentanyl has gone from 5yrs and 10k to a straight a fine of a grand! I guess that this proves,it's not who you know but who you blow! The guys that have small stables get sent to the bench for a small overage and Joe Ammo gets his penalty stayed. Nothing has changed since I picked up my 1st pitchfork in 1974 as far as equal treatment is concerned! SMMFGDH! 11.wp

I just love how they play Lets Make A Deal!'
You don't appeal and we'll lower the fine! Deal or no Deal?
:P

Anyone who reads the fines and suspensions week after week should understand why harness tracks are near empty of fans. If the USTA was serious about cleaning up their sport, any and all of these serious drug offenses should come with a loss of license forever. Why give any of these people rulings that allow them back in a week or two and fines that can be delayed for years?

Great call Kojac ! Way to easy to take advantage of the system the way things are policed currently. There should be a standardized fine for all of the common infractions with ZERO discounts and a 72 hrs time limit for payment. If the deadline passes there will be no more racing until it is!

Money I absolutely agree
