Many years ago i met many drivers. Most were polite & some talked more than others. The only a-hole was G. Napolitano. He drove a friend's horse bad & had an attitude after the race.

Luc Ouellette right in the league of Cory Callahan I can still remember the day he arrived at YR/RR, 17 and grooming for his uncle. Absolutely a gentleman. Drove for me ALOT Never a problem, never an attitude, always appreciative

Other than that he’s lucky he’s alive for wearing a wire and snitching on good people back in the day. Angry old man who is horrible and needs to hang up driving and let the young guys drive. Fifty or so years ago that old bastard ran me all over the Pompano Park Race Track for no other reason, but that he was in a possition to do so. It was one of my few drives at Pompano, and I have rooted against Gene, Jay, and Brian ever since.

It developed over time and culminated in a race where they were all over each other and then carried it over to the paddock afterwards. of course, sympathetic sentiment sided with JC I honestly have no idea what started the feud but it is well chronicled on the backstretch

Corey Callahan nicest guy ever! Drove my horse and walked past me and said my horse raced great. It surprised me as I am a nobody. Tim Tetrick drove one of my horses that he couldn’t hold back and went 53 to the half 2 wide the whole mile. He was pissed off. But that does not make him a bad guy. It just surprised me he was pissed.

Campbell always a nice guy, polite to everyone. Dave Miller was the same, he drove one at Mohawk awhile ago, I put the lines back as far as they would go, he grabbed the lines, jumped on and started readjusting them & I was laughing & said to him jokingly, sorry I thought Brett Miller was driving tonight not yourself, he near fell off the bike laughing.

The nicest for me would be
Dave Miller- he’s the same guy he was when he was in Ohio years ago.
George Brennan- is one of my favorites as he always goes out of his way to say hi to me.
Tim Tetrick- has always been nice as I have known him for many years.
Some of the newer drivers aren’t nearly as friendly as the ones that have been around for awhile. There are definitely drivers who act like their shit don’t stink but the majority overall of the guys are always nice.

Without a doubt Harold Kelly from Freehold was the most decent person who ever drove our horses. I never heard him curse or say a bad thing about anyone. He was a religious man who wouldn’t drive on Sundays. As far as a bad person I didn’t know any. However the strangest person was Ron Pierce. Most of the time I had no idea what he was talking about but his golden hands it didn’t much matter.

Didn't know Harold Kelly personally but he, at least to me, had hands of concrete. except for 1 time when he finished a pick 4 for me that was multi thousand at YR of all places during one of the first daytime cards. the horse was creepshow. Wasn't in sort of "in house" for stanley Dancer, the way Ben Steall was for Haughton
Pierce was definitely weird Maybe one of the reasons he feuded with John Campbell
Have to feel fro him having his brilliant career cut short by the back surgeries He is a prospector now out West more weird lol

I started driving at Lebanon at about the same time David Miller did. He started out being a cowboy on the track but hes intelligent and learned how to use his hands and brain to win races. Super guy. The only problem I really ever saw him have was with Wilder and Carol.
I came home from Scioto one night in the 90s and the wife asked me how i did. This was before the internet so she couldn't watch the races. I said great. Between David and I we won 8 races. She was all excited and said you won 4? I said no, Miller won 7, I scraped out 1
