Who gets boned this year? Pick you top 5 place finishers in this years Hambo and Hambo Oaks.
-
boring ass card
not even close to the last ten ham Bo’s
no build up no excitement
-
Agreed
-
wow tough crowd
perhaps the hambo does not have the marquee type horse of some other years but the rest of the card has some solid races with all the best horses available
but i guess you can wait for those Indiana super finals

Thats on the part of the Hambo Society. Even in lack luster fields the KY Derby always gets fan fair. This should say something loudly to the Harness Community.

As far as the race card goes it is a great card most of the best horses around today I will not complain about how bad things are I will just enjoy watching on Saturday and wish every one good luck.

Wise words from the WISEOWL.

To my point does anyone have the top 5 finishers in mind?

It's an interesting race in that pretty much the inside 5 horses are the contenders. The ones starting from 6 - 10 have no shot (in my opinion).
I really like Celebrity Bambino. He seems to be peaking at the right time.

Any chance dave little isnt aboard the sylvia hanover train in the 2nd. ngc3
I kid dave a bit but he's darn good imho at what he does. The young lady jessica otten is also aces. Good to have intelligent presentable young lady like her in game. Some of you folks have lost your minds; given the $ opportunies elsewhere who with talent would want any anything to do with the standardbred game. Im not sure it should deserve much than an scm or the voice behind the mike.

The winner this year is well named in Winner's Bet
The only question is will no Lasix affect him as he was not on it last Saturday

Hambo Oaks:
Bond (even with Ake)
Walner Payton
Righteous Resolve
Railee Something
Kayleigh S
Hambo
Celebrity Bambino
Oh Well
Osceola
Southwind Coors
Ghostly Casper
If Ake did not "fry" Bond last week (and changes the bridle) she seems to be the best, and normally able to take a fairly stiff set of fractions.
Hambo should be action start to finish as all 10 drivers have to believe they have a shot at a good piece of the purse if the race plays out for them. Thus I expect Osceola to shoot out immediately ahead of Celebrity Bambino and then there should be a procession of movement with only one or two completely hanging out for stretch action (maybe Ake and Sears).
Best chance for upset is Osceola as he has early speed (check last year's early season lines) and also (as we saw last week) has a good late move.

As Rod Stewart said in a song; " there ain't no point in talking when nobody is listing, so they just ran away..."

Should be about 83 degrees at post time and the track was lightning fast last night (n/w $2,000 disgraceful 13th race went in 1:50.2!!) Unfortunately Ake decided to put Jiggy Jog in the Steele for $131K rather than the Cashman for $278k and so probably missed out on a chance to lay down a new World Record for Trotters (with only 6 in the Steele, it is unlikely there will be enough action to prompt the kind of speed necessary to do that, whereas with several of the Cashman trotters, like Its Academic etc., she might have had a chance.) As it is Ake has 4 in the Cashman (2 of whom probably don't belong).
