Can someone explain?
"Racing a horse in an unfit Condition"
-
Interesting...

Unsatisfactory drive or manor. Not familiar with the race in question, however it could range from lack of effort to going beyond normal means to open a hole. I noticed in this week's F.A.S. report that some of the terminology for infractions has changed.

Some with pull get “other”…

It almost sounds like hes in trouble for racjng a lame horse. Meadow Ford, you've been around a while and k ow what's going on out there. Have you ever seen a non trainer driver fined for putting a lame horse on the gate? Ive been fined fir some stupid stuff but that's a new one on me

New one on me too!
Several years back I listened to IL. state vet DR. Smith give Dale Hiteman a scolding for catch driving a lame horse. DR, Smith said "You bring the horse over to me and I will scratch the horse, and talk to the tr/ow. Don't you be risking your life on a lame catch drive"!

Never seen that for a driver.. always a trainer and sometimes due to a pre race pos.

I went to The USTA'S Pathway to try and get a better explanation. It was spelled out much better.
Guess what?
It has nothing to do with the horse ,it's lameness, or equip.
That only leaves the driver in an unfit condition.
Anyone want to guess now as to why Yannick was in an unfit condition?
No he wasn't drunk or high.
-
idk, he pooped his pants maybe?????????????
-
Hemorrhoids?

Mailbox Money was correct in that terminology for some infractions had changed.
Turns out Yannick's unfit condition was not having both feet in the stirrups.

FYI
There is a lot of information on Pathway.
Some of it free to everyone.
The rulings report is free.
At rulings report you can get.

For fun I looked up Aaron Merriman.
Yes? or No?
He has paid over $50,000.00 in fines.
Most are for Late to the Paddock, and Failure to Drive when Programed.
Hint, in 2019 he had 36 rulings for $8,700.00 in fines.
In 2018 38 rulings for $6,150.00 in fines
