Title: Oak grove handicapper. Pls get a fckin haircut. On tv representing a race track
Post by: LUCPARK on May 14, 2023, 04:03:13 PM

Oak grove has to demand guy looks presentable

Unless the track don’t  give a crap

He’s representing your race track

Looks like a bum

Not shaven. Dressed  like he just got done with lawn work

Hair in disarray

We have to do better

Perfect example of why harness will never be close to tbreds

Not Good look oak grove.  Wake the fuck up

Roc, it's a great observation and suggestion, and just like I don't have to respond to every post  tmbz1 and I won't, you shouldn't have to bitch and curiously wonder and seek advisement about every damn thing either.  Look away look away look away, pal!  tmbz1

Do you race t-breds in their pristine world or just support the typically unkempt, dirty, filthy, unprofessional, grungy harness racing world?  Me, I do both as an analyst /  gambler!   ;D

Circus Carneys?   Oh you mean Shades  ... agreed

The thoroughbred people get paid and can afford a suit.  Harness talent gets minimum wage.  Just ask Darren, Justin, and Hollywood.  They loved Jeffie's generosity  ngc3

As for Cotolo he's a harness legacy .. his father writes for Harness Racing Update and the kid's been publishing picks for a few years.  His father portrays himself as a master handicapper too.

I learn quite a bit on Plop.  Much of what you said is insightful, thank you.  Makes sense too of the proportionality of t-bred racing$$$$$ to harness racing$$ and what is affordable, cost of living, apparel, very smart.

When you're not detectiving, and playing IT Equalizer lurking icognito at PLOP, tell us about Thorny, you ask questions to many, some very personal of some here, you know much about people outside suggesting you're read, who and what is Thorny all about?  ;D

Why do you care master ruler?

Maybe someone who's been following this "sport" for over 50 years may have some knowledge built up?  Or perhaps that someone is just bored and unlike some others only responds to a topic he has some knowledge about.

When you asked Dink, how much he bet on his future wager after the derby, I thought that was bold of you.  Very specific needing to know his financials + / - in an open forum!

When it comes to sharing anything about yourself I guess we get this, maybe lol?

Master ruler, you need one, maybe if you're nice, you beg, but not no, rule ruin your own life!  ;D

Dude you keep saying things in an open forum representing things I say that I NEVER said.

I did not ask Dink how much he  bet.  He publicly stated he bet 20 bucks so why would I ask ?

He further stated he had a micro investment on Mage with Commonwealth and I like probably many others here wondered how much that was worth in terms of roi.  He graciously said he made more on the future bet than on his ownership.  Question answered.  Thanks Dink.  You think that a return of a micro investment has anything to do with his overall financials?

You asked:

"Congrats Dink ...  Out of curiosity did you make more on the 20 dollar future bet than on the fractional ownership?

How much would you have had to invest in the ownership to get that 1600 you won?"

Tbreds are light years away from  harness telecasts

Watch a telecast from Gulf Stream or Belmont see how well dressed and presentable they look

I guess some tracks demand professional looks at all times. Wordrobes and appearance and some track cater to the FARMER TED LOOK

Not one person disagreed with you or Thorny or the comparable....I got fucking yelled at and threatened for shit of hard-lining opinion point of views in redundancy (different people though) across the forum board - no spamming, just over involved, and not because ADMIN thought so, but complaints from jealous, barely a stitch of talent nazi twats (who seek to insurrect their will on PLOP for dominance)...and you're just repeating the same shit over and over again at this point!  SPAM!!

Dear Ray,

I can't believe you're 24 bro, I blinked and I'm double that, best of luck to a long career in whatever you attempt, seriously I mean it - Nothing but success!

Some dudes and I were watching racing at Oak Grove, and were commenting on your appearance, being televised, working for a subsidiary of  CDI, again mind you we're all a generation or 2 older,  so no offense (even though in private lol we're very offensive) intended but, clean, pressed professional apparel and look for your TARGETED AUDIENCE, US....in line with executive appearance tradition of race broadcasting.  What's up bro with this look, grunge, dark and artistic is fine somewhere but.....your overall appearance bro, consider a makeover for the harness racing live video feed, AND STILL and NEVER CHANGE BEING YOU!

If you respond, I'll share with the fellas!  Thank you!!

Warmest regards,

Paul

Hi Paul,

Appreciate the wish of luck, I know I'll need it in this world lol.

And honestly, re: looks -- I was more concerned today that my handicapping was terrible haha. my job more than anything is to help people figure out the races and how to figure out the races, so me not having a good opinion today and not helping people make money is a bigger issue to me. i dress how i dress cause ultimately im just a guy. im not a track representative, a CDI guy or anything like that. I'm just a guy who makes movies and writes stories who also watches races and tries to use that knowledge to help people make money. People can say I represent CDI but ultimately I am who I am and no corporation will change that.

So if anything, I just hope to have opinions worth listening to. This is a game of opinions, after all! I don't think professional apparel will help me handicap a race any better, or make my opinions worth any more time. I know more snakes in suits than in blue jeans, anyway.

I could use a shower though now that you mention it, has been about two days.

Thanks for the message and hope you made money today -- I know I didn't, haha.

The kid repping Oak Grove is ok. Its juvenile and I believe hes doing the schtick from his home studio in Pennsylvania
(the Oakgrove backdrop and computer inset..thats his.)
Ray's ok.

They just buried Miami Valley's 'The Wizard' ( you know, the sweet pix guy who wore a traffic pylon or a dunce cap on his head in the pre-race show..actually had an invitational in his name a couple weeks ago.)  he was harmless and had eyeballs darting his way on banks of teletheater tvs.

Elsewhere, tits sweet and/our full and on display: Santa Anita, Gulfstream, Tampa..sweet ladies, big money joints. The gorgeous Indiana Downs t'bred analyst. or the european full figure of Mohawks handicapper...if you like that, Miss Vag has alot to offer.

Our old friend Shades, 'Send it in' over the top from Prewitt..or the duck that drops down over the Delaware Park vet capper..or our old Windsor buddy Marty Adler who used cardboard numbers to pre-race Hazel Park in the day.
CLASSY IS OPTIONAL...EYE BALLS BEING JARRED..I understand it.

Hey..i love plain jane too..but dont care if one tv has edge over another. Its dog eat $$ dog.

Im getting ready for Running Aces debut..with the announcer and his ballcap.
go Ray go.

Again. Watch a couple of tbred telecast see if you can tell any difference in appearance and professionalism

Looking like a representative of a company one wood want to look his or her best when on a telecast

I miss the guy I referred to as the Missing Link from the Showplace of racing. He was a cross between, the wrestler the Missing Link and dressed like Tommy Boy where the tie would end about 4 inches above the belly button.

We are harness racing where on any given night and on Friday's at the biggest track of them all we allow Amateur betting races. What does that say to someone new who pops in ? I would say its okay, but I don't amateurs in thoroughbred races. Nor do I see it in the NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB, MLS, MMA..... Hell on ESPN two sundays ago they were airing the rock skipping championships. Doubt they pulled amateurs out of the crowd.

To most people if they have ever heard of harness racing --- they think were a joke --- well hell --- we present ourselves as a joke. The only headlines we garnered in a national publication last year -- was that dozens were sent to jail.
