Maybe he thinks Freehold is an "A" track.

Bret is smart enough to not let him look stupid. He'still get drives from the barn and quailfiers but not the A team. He won't  let the kid fail. He'll keep the lad at Freehold where he isn´t near the best but not the worst. Good luck to him.

like anything else, you cant rush or buy experience
if he has any talent it will show in 3-5 years
