oakwoodananabel IR the Irish harness horse was undefeated in Ireland he came under the care of brian brown in america in his first race here in nw2 he romped in 153, under a stranglehold
tonight in nw 4 conditions he lowered his mark to 150.3 under a tight hold hold at the end
this is a horse everybody will be talking about
he is a open pacer and maybe a stakes horse his bottom has not been found
the fact this is the first horse from IRELAND , in my mind, to come on the scene in a fast way
it is a incredible story

Irish and GB horses have been showing up here and winning for a few years now. Colin Johnson in Canada had Oakwood Initowinit IR and others that competed at an open level and Burke has had many mostly from GB. He brought six lower and medium class up last year and they won about 15 or more of their first 20 starts in Ohio.

Anyone remember Golden Storm GB? If my memory serves I believe he won 22 races one year, most if not all at The Mighty M.

Don't think this is as amazing story as you guys think. Did you see her yesterday. She's a little thing and will be good on small tracks. She couldn't beat the bigger fillies yesterday and I don't think she would be in the same level as Grace Hill, Firestart, Hot Mess etc on a big track. I can't see her beating the FFAs next year either. But good luck to her and her connections.

Ireland, GB, Brazil, Argentina... they race almost exclusively for sport. Having bred a filly that is competitive with the best commercially and home bred pacing fillies in the USA is a thing of pure pride. The pride of breeding your stallion, one you paid less than $20,000 American for to a homebred mare, may be worth more than the entire purse to these gentlemen.

not much money on her card should fit a lot of late closers

Was there that day myself. Had one in to go...didn't get around track well 3 days out (.59) so they decided to watch from the sidelines. (Could'nt beat that bunch anyways...was a PASS final winner, tops)
