Title: northfield -- Last Monday Aug 16th -- Race 10
Post by: dinkadoo on August 16, 2021, 05:23:48 PM
watching last replays from last week I come across race 10 and have a question.

#3 Twin B Stingray with Dave Lake in the bike, is sitting in the two hole.  Eric Tharps JR is cutting the mile and is laying back as parallel to the track as ANYone can get.... Lake is loose lined for the first quarter and his horse kicks Tharp in the back of the helmet repeatedly..... Does probably about 10 total times in the mile.

Question.

If the #3 winds up off stride -- he didn't but say he did as the contact was pretty bad and often.... Do you suspend
a) Lake for loose lining for part of the mile and allowing horse to make contact with Tharps
b) Fine Tharps for laying back and occupying about an extra 3 feet in the bike
c) Nothing --- they're judges, they are currently watching WWE Raw on a Monday night.

Most of the head bumping ( ngc3) took place in a 55 and change first half......Tharps was cruising. These are 6 claimers.  IMHO, Lake would have been at fault with the aforementioned loose lines.

More amazingly is Tharps held on despite a 59 second last half.  Nice win.
correct you are in that Tharps horse was large at a good price...
