Why?
-
no we just want the cheats cauggt
-
Most of the guys here have tried, and failed, to be part of the game. They seem bitter.
They continually call for an end to harness racing. They mask it as wanting the cheaters out, but they are really just pissed that they couldn't cut it. On here every day yelling about how bad racing is, how many cheaters there are, etc.
News flash: There are cheaters in all sports.
-
Mainly just bustouts who could never make it in the sport.
-
I want racing to succeed tmbz1

All the gamblers I knew in the 70's never whined about the cheating and fixing as long as someone shared with them who was dead in the race
-
There are some who have nothing good to say about anything. Probably deliberately trying to stir the pot.
-
no we just want the cheats caught
on the Friday report of violations - there are plenty cheaters getting caught. Problem is the appeals send 'em right back onto the track w/ zero punishment.

Don’t want it to fail, just want my tax dollars from casinos used for better purposes, not handouts to racing. Make it on their own feet.....too much money going to to few unworthy recipients....... jmo

Iceman,
You are right on ! I too was a very small owner for many many years and followed the rules. No drugs. After seeing what was going on more and more I said no more. Remember going over to Yonkers one night with our horse and seeing a few trailers pulled over before the George Washington Bridge. I asked my trainer what was going on. He sadly told me they were timing their their doping and shaking so as to not get caught. I remember asking him if we had any chance of winning and he said yes but the odds were not in our favor. That was about it for me. Good hay and oats does not cut it any more. I miss the game but not how it is being played.
Good post Iceman!

Many on here also have been huge failures in the game themselves.

backinblack hillbilly I'm not but some on here act the part. If you had followed what I said I got out mid 80's and "IF" they could rid the game of the scum then I would get back in. And there is the catch the scum is so deep rooted there is no tomorrow or future.
You got out? Or did you quit because you couldn’t compete?
I once was told winners talking about winning
And losers talk about winners. Nothing is easy iceman when you can’t compete you get a few options get out or figure out how to compete. Sure there are cheaters in every sport, and most that win are called cheaters because you can’t beat them. Some have more $$$$ some have better horses that’s the fact jack. And some even have an edge but I never heard of a athlete quit basketball because the other team had taller guys or a baseball player quit because the other team had a better player on it. Or a football player not play because the other team was 30 point favorite. They don’t line up 20 horses in the derby because they have one or two good ones in there. So don’t give us this shit I got out because of cheaters!

I read Andrew Cohen's commentary on Paulick Report and it was very interesting, more interesting is why it was pulled down more cover-up by USTA.
Pulled down?
Not on Paulick. It's the first listed story. At least today.
-
Not this one, Calhoun. It is written by Natalie Voss.
The one I'm referring to was written by Andrew Cohen a few days ago. And it disappeared from Twitter, Harnesslink and Paulick.
