GO TO THE REPLAY
Northfield race 3 wed night...#4 antique master K and Dan Kennedy goes to lead about enter far turn first time. Breaks horse...and just before he breaks Kennedy lifts his hands/reins and then breaks.
There are many ways to make a horse break...is this most obvious way to break a pacer or are there many different ways...say, a wellplaced whip.
Please enlighten me and others so the err in mr kennedy's ways, and my thankfully small wager, can be salved.
Is this how its done?

Why would any sane person bet on Dan Kennedy?

I chalk it up to just plain terrible driving lol. Not sure if this horse has a history of breaking, that little jolt of the hand may have loosened the line enough to drop the bit out of his mouth or may have just spooked him.

The horse jump the light tower shadow
Watched it again you're right. Funny he went over at least 3 before that and didn't bother him. Video was a little grainy but looks like he is wearing a small shadow roll too likely needs a bigger one.

Could be lots of things. We can't hear so my guess is he lost a shoe or hit himself trying to dodge shadows.
