Saratoga and Yonkers seem to be bleeding money but won't close in the near future. Especially Yonkers, the purses in respect to the handle are way off.

I don't think any of these are closing but the most vulnerable is Monticello IMHO. There are a lot of political considerations involved though and politicians don't like to make tough calls.

Long term sports betting will really hurt though. If handles shrink so much that it becomes obvious that the tracks are draining $, it will become more difficult to sustain. Especially if times get financially tough- then even coupling may be in danger.

I'm not seeing any closing in the near future though. And frankly, other horseploppers that are horsemen would have much better insight than me on this topic.
