I have lost a lot faith in Drew, very talented but when cut up horses like he has this year and whipping a horse 67 times from 3/4 pole to finish ... just does not settle well in my stomach..
I have always been big on Drew, he is far the best in Maine and Mass but doing that shit is not good.

How did you become a Stewart? You seem totally oblivious, to things that have been going on
in Maine racing for decades. Get your honest judges to be in the race office as soon as the box closes. Shockingly, entries will still be accepted from big stables well after box closed. Didn't the whipping rules get changed? Come on Stewart. tmbz1 tmbz1

Maie harness racing has been wheelchair bound for some time. Taking entrees late, over looking obvious driver and trainer problems and closing an eye to just about anything allow it to continue. The fact that few people show up to the live product and the handle keeps drifting down are, in part, a result of such apathy. Unfortunately there are casinos now, online options and old time stand bye like high stakes bingo, bingo in general and harness racing are now just bit players. Telephone operators, rotary dial phones, 8-tracks all were king when harness racing was in it's prime......time and interests change......just the way it is

If you were the Race Secretary or Judge...would you apply the rules to Bo Sowers or Ron Cushing or the Cushing family???
Without their entries you would have a tough time filling competitive races
The USTA on line entry system is great for trainers...……………..but gives the Race Secretary more time to figure out what conditions he has to open up to fill his condition sheet...…………….
The sharp trainers call in later..asking what he needs...and what they have to help out
The secretary loves to prove that his condition sheet is right on and fills the races.....
All the Judges want to do is go home after the draw...…..
