Title: Mohawk Tuesday
Post by: whiptherabbit on July 17, 2018, 01:04:44 PM
Race#8-#5 Captain Nash 6-1 ML This is the best of Jamiesons two year olds this year, qualified very impressively and should romp in here although I expect odds around 2-1

Race#10-#1 Shewearsthepants 4-1 Shes been dreadful this year, draws in with a very weak field and she needs a helmet to follow.

$1 Pick 5
1,7,8/2,7,8,9/4/1,9/4

Best Of Luck

Thanks for the input fellas.

I'll try: Race1 20c P/5 $19.20
1/1 2 8 9/ 3 4/ 1 5 8 9/ 2 4 5

Race4 20c P/4 $28.80
1 5 8 9/2 4 5/1 5 6 7/ 2 3 6

Race7 20c P/4 $32
All/2 5 6 8/1 3 4 8/5  Good luck all. 💰

Has anyone noticed how much moolah has
been bet into the HI5 pools lately?
The last two nights each had over 70K.
Usually, it used to get 25-30K. Why so much
I wonder. Up to nearly 350K already. Worth
playing as the consolations will pay well.

Cesar Duharas is second to race from Cleopatre Duharis.  He is by Muscle Massive.  His year older sister is Venus Duharis, and she is by Andover Hall.  As a rookie last year, she went in 1.56 and 3 at Phl.  I guess it makes sense then that he could already go under 2.  On July 5, off a nice qualifier, he went off at 7-1, even though none of the analysts touted him at all.  Makes sense now.

Did Chody give any effort to win race: yes or no? We know your a jock sniffer bragging about hanging out with drivers. If we shouldn't bet baby races, why not make them Non-betting races? Would be fine with me.

If people stopped betting them then they would. However, guys like Iceman would rather lose their house, wife and kids instead.

I'm sure Jody wants to let the colt grow into his ability being a family horse. I wouldn't chase him hard either !! If I felt he was going all he was comfortable with that would be it....not going to have him begin to hate his work in a 14 K condition race....it would be almost as dumb as betting these types of events. Dougie didn't care it's just a catch drive, if his colt is no good from now on another will take his place......I commend JJ on his whoresmanship !!

But that’s the difference between the good drivers and the bad drivers
The ones who TRY TO WIN

Not like he buried the colt, he would have loved him to draw off halfway down the lane.....it just didn't happen!

You still hooked on phonics? If people stopped betting baby races they would turn to non betting races. You lost?

Thats the difference between real gamblers  and degenerates. The real deals dont bet baby races.

When he opened up at 6/5 I never bet him as then you'd knew he would be even money at best. I have no issue with how he was handled, first lifetime start he was handled appropriately. I'd rather see a young one driven like that then soured up by the likes of Anythony Mac chasing one down the lane.

Tell All was handled carefully his first few starts and so was Apprentice Hanover, they turned out all right.

It might have if he lifted the lines once. Chody has a tendency to only give effort when the odds happen to be 10/1 or higher.  Didn't matter much to me as I bet against but in multi-legs had way more exposure than I hoped to after I saw how crushed he was.

Honestly most of the Mohawk cards are unbettable lately because of the garbage OSS races and these baby races. The conditioned races are just as bad anymore.

Another guy hooked on phonics. I agreed with what he said. I said you cant bet baby races. Now run along and handicap some more baby races. Dont forget to give us your picks since they are rated 5 stars apparently. How much you charge?

Conditions are pretty wide open since Moreau has basically become an auto toss. Been better payouts all around but handicapping nightmare.

You are the one that needs to be hooked on phonics. Why would Rabbit post that selection if he wasn't planning on betting it? He was planning on betting it until the odds were so bad. nobody in their right mind would play Jamieson at that price. Rabbit never once said you can't bet baby races. Now I agree you shouldn't bet many baby races, but their is money to be made if you do your homework.

I like Rabbit but most of his plays are bet downs (but they do come in which is great!). Using the morning line is a terrible guide for betting plays.

Lots of vitriol on here for a betting thread!!! lol

I pick horses that I bet, plain and simple. I've posted winners here from 3-5 up to 30-1 & I've posted plenty of losers at those odds as well!!

I enjoy watching the races & qualifiers at WEG & it's where I do 99% of my betting (until football starts) The threads are way more enjoyable when people are expressing input on who they like and why.  tmbz1
