He is on a BETTING FAVORITE and gets away 3rd or worse and doesnt pull ??Doesnt he have an obligation to give the horse a chance to win..especially with no passing lane means you will end up 6th on the rail with very little chance to win..
JUST WATCHED RUSSEL FORSTER IN THE 6TH RACE AT HARRINGTON GET AWAY 4TH AT 8/5 AND NOT PULL...VERY SAD..
BUT THATS WHY HARNESS RACING AND 1/2 MILE RACING ESPECIALLY IS DEAD !!!

agree.
Awesome Valley hasn't been very good for a LONG time and sitting in with that one tonight didn't bother me at all.

I will agree if the horse hasnt raced well..didnt look at the program ..maybe he was overbet by a bunch of morons..but i was talking if the horse showed good form...
-
I agree that if the horse is able to take air, has good form and fits the class, if he has relatively low odds there is some level of obligation to give the horse a shot.

Northfield Park Race #4....perfect example of an awful favorite.
#4 went of at 4/5 and has a resume that proves he's not even close to a rat. If there were a half-a-rat designation, he might fit that class. So his odds meant nothing....other than there are a whole lot of retarded people that escaped abortion.
