RETIRE NNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOO OWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!

Heads gonna roll on this one. Wish I could have heard this explanation. With multiple bad race calls, bad information, and now putting up horses to wager on when not in the program. Enough is enough, its time for the mouth to go south for a final retirement race ................. ................. ..

Audiovox tv ??
WOW some high end equip there.

Roger..... Please retire before the Jug. Your a very tired act! Don't ruin anymore Jugs.

Graphics department?
More like one guy who’s probably half asleep lol
-
roger ruined the meadows
I thought Dave Paylone ruined it
-
this goes to the graphics dept. probably just a typo. but Roger is the worst thing in harness racing.. his races calling is even worse than the cheats, stiff drives, pompous owners, made up vet bills and even the drugs
-
As loud as that f***** screams his race calls, I sometimes wonder if he isn't trying to aid Palone if Palon4 is on the front end. This way he gets a free shot at knowing which horses are moving where.

And all these years we thought it was Palone.

On the bright side it appears the cameraman finally got some glasses or upgraded the equipment. Definitely more clarity and color.

How does he forget all the bad race calls, getting to the 3/4's in 58.4, or calling out wrong names, horses out of position, or how about the infamous 9 horse ................. .........
Criticizes Nfld for putting up an incorrect winning trainer picture for TSM Titus T at the Meadows. Nfld put up Ron Krenitsky Sr not Bob Krenitsky Jr .............
Never ends with Mumbles does it ................. ................. ..........

It's a coin toss who I dislike more in standardbred racing. This guy or the wig wearing guy Drucker at Yonkers. I can listen to Drucker for about ten seconds and I switch over to Gilligan's island or Hogan's Heroes instead.
-
so much laughter from these true criticisms
-
was ther a time when roger was a good announcer the answer is no all he does is
SCREAM
-
I’m a big Roger fan. Grew up listening and mimicking him. Has he said an eighth of a mile to go in O-HI-O yet this week? That one always tingles the spine.

Please stop telling me to eat at faziolis..
rather have spagheeti o's & meatballs out of can.

Maybe a wonderful person and good ambassador, I've just never cared for his style or frankly been impressed by the quality of his calls. Once paid close attention to the Meadows in the 90s and didn't care for calls then. Recognize he's getting on and everyone slips a little with age. Don't really watch or listen much anymore.
I'm of the school that race callers like refs and umpires should be secondary to the sport. It's the same reason I don't care for Lederman.
Does anyone recall the name of the announcer that Saratoga Harness had for a brief run in the late 80s or early 90s. It was before sardella (who I think does a very nice job). Someone claimed to me, the gentleman who's name I can't recall, had been an auctioneer before trying his hand at race calling. Whoever this dude was, he was the worst I've ever heard. Every card had a handful of races that was a mix and match of miscalls. He only had a short run and the track presumably recognized how bad he was and disappeared.

That is not only about Roger, in this industry, the It is all about Me, feeling prevails, they could care less if they are playing before an empty grandstand

Roger is NOT A WONDERFUL PERSON. Ive metioned this before: Breeders Crown finals at Pocono Downs. My friend wanted to introduce himself and Roger couldnt get away fast enough.. he wouldnt talk and had no use for random people. Then when my friend told him he owned a top horse and that another guy with us was fairly important in harness racing, he did a complete 180. albeit completely fake. Not a nice guy...... and not a good announcer. . Never was a good announcer. His voice and style is awful

the Voice <> C'mon ... maybe in 1970; but, when it's time to go > just GO-GO-GO .. this guy perpetuates the stereotype of harness racing as no-class / low-class. BYE, Roger
