Post away. I'm not enamored with anything in particular.
Question though for any horse people. In the 10 th there are three late scratches. This is a lot for Mohawk on cards where weather isn't bad.
I've noticed this over the yrs though at other tracks when there is a horse changing barns that might be expected to move up considerably. The 7 in the 10th will be odds on entering the red hot Boyd barn. Is it likely this scared some trainers off racing in that race. I use to see this for example when Moreau was red hot and had claimed a horse. So ate trainers scratching to save their entry for a race where the winner may not be a foregone conclusion.
Just curious.

I can't see trainers scratching their horses because of the other entries. A lot of horses get sick this time of year also.
And one other thing, THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A SURE THING.

Thanks. I'm on board on the sure thing angle - other than singling Boyd's horse in P4 I'm just watching the 10th.
In races like that, I either toss the chalk or single in the P4. Can't play the chalk and others. Just not financially sensible.
Thanks for your insight. tmbz1
