Title: Classy gelding hiding in Iowa Fair Circuit
Post by: BadGambler1 on July 12, 2020, 03:21:49 PM
This gelding i'm talking about is Minnie Vinnie. He was a iowa sire stakes at two and three. ( Before I get any hate, that's were jimmy Freight originally raced) At 3; he raced in the Art Rooney and got a solid second. He than raced in the Carl Milstein memorial and finished 3rd, over horses such as lather up, dorsodoro hanover, always a prince and springsteen. He than suffered an injury later that year. He wasn't himself at 4. Now after the Covid break he seems to be getting back to his old self. He's been racing the fair circuit, which i presume are being used as qualifiers. A few weeks back he paced 1:54.4H. that doesn't seem like much of a mile, but the track he did it on isn't even designed for racing. Watch out in the coming weeks when the owners decide to send him to the big tracks. I can see him climbing the class ladder and even reaching the open pace divisions at tracks like Hoosier or Northfield. I may be wrong but I see something special about this horse.
