he gets beat more than andy miller at the wire

2 early races I had the same thought. Dont know how he lost with chillpopper hirse in 10th. Overrated driver. Down under drivers almost never get caught with that kind of lead in stretch. Burke made Yannick. Brady made belichick's in footb all and we got the reverse here.

Yannick pretty much drives every race the same way and when he has juice he gets to the wire first. 11.wp
When his horse is on hay and oats that week he hits a wall the last 1/8th.
Sometimes he acts like he didn't know Burke was empty that week and it ground hog day every race.

LaChance must have learned from Stanley Banks. 11.wp
Banks would whip his horse than hit you with the next stroke if you tried to pass him. 11.wp
Banks was race fixer in-chief during the 70's in Illinois. 77z.chf

In the original thread, people here were awfully critical of the Frenchman, and I wasn't ready to believe it...Well he hasn't won at the Big M on 3 consecutive weekends...Steve Smith is outdriving him...What's happening in this world???

Early stage of Randy Waples disease.

Because of equipment and medication, few drivers today actually know a damn thing about racing....it is actually kind of pathetic.
So called "good" or even "great" drivers often make decisions in races that are contrary to any sort of logic.
People laugh at Ron Pierce and his intellect...well, truth be told, no one today has half of Pierce's racing IQ.
Georgie Nap is one of the few that actually knows what is likely to happen and makes fewer mistakes than most others.
-
Add to the mix, the "help each other out there" mentality of the modern catch driver and the concessions these guys are given during a race lead to so little actual talent. I remember the first time I heard Tim utter those f'ing words. Granted, no one should try to intentionally injure someone, but this go easy on me this time and I'll do the same next time is for the birds.
