like human athletics it is a fine line between what performance enhancers are legal and which are not
of course the charges against these trainers go well beyond any acceptable level and cross into animal cruelty among many other disgusting charges
but keep in mind if certain trainers( some caught , some to come) are going over the line and other trainers are still competitive with them it gets you thinking , clearly to compete horses need the best nutrition and supplements( legal) available
think back to the olympics 100 dash where ben johnson got screwed, yes he was of course on roids but was later proven so was every other runner, my point being if ben was on them and you think the others were staying close to him but running on gatorade think again

Is that officially who the horses are going to? Both are connected to this scandal in a big way, considering Julie's co-owned horses with Surick with Navarro down as trainer. Andy drove a ton for Surick and probably shared recipes.

I would give an owner the benefit of the doubt if they were a) new to the sport b) had one trainer who got popped and they decided to move on.
The Crawfords, and similar owners, can't claim ignorance having been around horses for so long.
You can't plead ignorance when you see what these horses are doing.
-How can you be a breeder and know that horses are doing what they aren't supposed to? Further, how can you be a breeder and not see that the horses look like they are on jet fuel? Drugged horses usually have tells in body language and behavior.
-How can you see that all of your trainers have insane first off the claim rates, first start in the barn, world records after one or two starts in the barn, etc.?
-How can you employ three trainers who have been very publicly banned from at least three tracks? Surick from Meadowlands in 2018, Oakes permanently banned from a few tracks, and Navarro was banned from a track or two.

No one in the Industry will ever turn down horses no matter who they came from, new trainers need to come out and publicly denounce POS (Surick)and Oakes. I have not heard one word denouncing POS or Oakes from Crawfords, they are phony, only care about winning, not the horse. Powerfulpatrick 100% right

Of course its PAST time for the tracks to DO to do something about it. But NONE want the expense or problems of having to deal with it. They would rather hide their heads in the sand and just keep the money train rolling. The part I don't understand is that the tracks have the right of refusal. WHY don't they use it more? THAT'S how tracks used to deal with it. "Don't go away mad, just go AWAY". As long as it's not discriminatory, it's legal. But the problem for tracks today is that they NEED horses. And it seems that the juicers have most of the horses. IF the tracks would have stopped the juicers long ago, honest trainers would STILL be in the business. Honest trainers were forced out by the juice trainers. Owners go to the trainers who are winning.

There is no way this self proclaimed Human Resources expert did not know how her recent hires obtained their record of success and cheating. Carrying on the tradition of class and integrity her inlaws founded and ran their business on was not satisfying enough. To continue to spend and collect horses at the rate her appetite for recognition desired, she needed a better cash flow. Hiring her band of thieves was a calculated investment, bourn by greed and self importance. Nothing less.
