BETTY AND NICK CLEGG = ALLARD FROM THE PRISON CELL. THEY CHANGE THE DATES ON ALL OF THE THREE YEAR OLD HORSES TO MAKE IT LOOK LIKE THEY ARE 2 YEARS OLD.

It wouldn’t surprise me.  Several years ago, I saw a photo of Rene Allard, Richie Banca, and Nick Clegg having a good time together.

Watched him action for years. "Gruff" is putting it mildly. Very heavy handed with the whip, dragging them around, loading onto trailers 5 minutes after a race dressed and no bath for the horse. Fair races by day and Monti by night with the same horse. again, I did not know him personally, but if Ralph ever cracked a smile on or off track, I never saw it.  Like a vast majority of you, I deplore serious cheating in our sport and talk about cheating - he stole tens of thousands over the years by racing older horses as younger until they caught up with him. He held them back in the field for a whole year.

I find it interesting that most down under horses don’t even begin racing until they are 4 or 5 years old while here we put a harness on babies as soon as their mothers placenta is cleaned off. Don’t you think it is much better for young horses to let them grow up before putting so much pressure on their young bodies? I know many will say the expenses are too much to wait but how do they handle it in NZ and Australia?

Cleggs bought a lot of yearlings at the Ohio yearling sales last year, so the ones that are racing as 2-year olds are mostly those. May be others with date changes; I don't know. So far this year they bought 3 or 4 at the August Blooded Horse Sale and 12 at the Ohio Selected Jug Sale last week. They buy mostly cheaper horses and race them at fairs. Wonder where the money comes from.

I've seen Nick Clegg in action. You are entitled to your opinion and I am entitled to mine.

then passes the lines to Timmy T or A-Aron and horse will runoff due too 100lb weight difference…easy math and easy money

The D.O.B. games went out the window more than a decade ago at least! With the onset of DNA testing on foals and the data based records, it would not even be a Longshot! In current times that type of activity would be foolish to attempt such a preposterous scheme! ngc3 ngc3 SMH

Fair enuf   Ralph Sherman goes back 30 years plus. Was just suggesting how they could get 30 starts out of babies. How DO they do it?

Two Clegg 2 year old racing for their 6th time in Sptember

Race 3  Del  In His Time...Including a race yesterday. 5th race this week alone

Race 13  Race 13  Risky Rider   same as above. 20th race this year.

Let's see a thoroughbred race 5 times in 3 weeks.

Not sure if this is abuse or a testament to the durability of the standard bred?

You guys dont believe this? Are you serious? I don't make stuff up and many of you compliment my posts. I know for a fact that he held back his babies to race horses vs those a year younger and he STOLE thousands that way and was tossed from the business. i only brought this up because of the Betty Clegg thing and the possible similarity. How else do 2 year olds start racing early April and race 30 times with out coming completely apart. he and his wife may be wonderful people off track and he may have died tragically, but he did what he did.

Oh yeah, good people.  Fucking morons in this industry and their belief in "good people".  Jesus, how trailer and criminal and ill bred do you have to be to accept this as "good people"?  Fuck him and glad he died horribly.  Best news I've heard.  Stop forgiving SHIT BEHAVIOR!
