Gerrity Saturday Race 6
« on: July 21, 2023, 09:11:04 AM »
I may stop in to saratoga just to watch  6th race (gerrity) though there are 6 ny state sire 2 yr old pacer races also on card.

Gerrity is real solid race. Tattoo artist 3 hole is favorite and looks hard to beat off huge haughton effort at big m. Ton of early speed signed on (lot of it inside ugh 1/2 mile tracks). May be racing for 2nd money imho with TA so sharp. Ill probably play a cold tattoo artist over covered bridge ex. And play saver triples with covered bridge and TA in first 2 slots over 1 (hellabalou) and 6 (I did it my way).

Burke has 3 in, gillis 2. Gillis horses run big in these type of races with my preference being covered bridge to perform better than stablemate fun at the bleach (2) . Good luck if you play.

The question will be which one of these baphoon drivers will go on a suicide mission?  Bon Bon will go full retard.  Bartlett will be typical Bartlett.  Should be a complete shit show in the first turn.  I'll take Alagna horse to sweep the field when they crawl home after a stupid 3/4's.

Could go a lot of ways but I think Hellabaloo has more gate speed than Tattoo Artist so he gets an easy tuck on the first turn ahead of Funatthebeach.  Brennan has been torching Idealsomemagic every start, so he is the one that continues on and challenges Hellabaloo and if Joey wants the pocket thats how they line up past the quarter.

I can't see the other Burke horses leaving hard from out there.  So Tattoo Artist has to end up first over and if all of that happens Covered Bridge is the most likely recipient of the trip as he gets the preference for that stable

Good Luck all

Brennans horse (6) and George for that matter a little bit the wild card. I think the rail horse hellabaloo not quite as sharp as 3,4 or 6 and driver too aggressive. 4 looked like best horse in haughton just got beat by a 1 in 100 drive/trip by d miller. That field better than this one.  Tattoo can grind too, was out the whole way in haughton and just kept coming. Im going to end up playing 3 4 ex  for $20 .
If this degenerates from some banging, 7 (this is plan) is the burke horse i could see sneaking into triple. So my $5 triple savers will be 3/46/7 and 46/3/7. Total $40 in play. Will be fun race to watch. GL

You got your numbers right Duke?   Covered Bridge is the 4 and he wasn't in the Haughton and Brennan is the 5 not 6.  Hellaballoo wasn't exactly in sharp form when he won the Borgata so who knows with him, he always seem to be there in his big races.

Thanks for heads up thorn. No, i mean the 3 on top  - tattoo artist. 4 - covered bridge second.

Ill have to check the bet as i already placed it but pretty sure i got that right. Platforms thankfully display horse names for us numbskulls. And yes, who knows about any of the burke horses; they sometimes outperform their recent lines in big races. Hellaballo looks like a nice horse; but i got to take a stand as a bettor. Wouldnt surprise me if he won. And im sure burke will give better instructions to joe b than i would but if it were i, and i make slightly less $ than mr burke  ngc3, id try to get the pocket and hold tight with the 1 till far turn or stretch. If kakakally were driving the 1 instead of jb id up his chances. I m still debating but probably will stop in just to see gerity.

I do appreciate the heads up though.

Ryder got nailed 2 straight weeks in $$$ races. That has to be frustrating but he wins his share.

I took a gander at the Gerrity with my free program (didnt know about that till today)
the 5 jumped out as a value play. 27-1 was ridiculous.
i dont know the backstory with him but if i had a Grand Circuit horse I wouldnt hesitate to have George driving.
Why doesnt he really drive the Grand Circuit?

You can't be serious with that question now are you. Next you will be asking about the hall of fame. A guy who is 7th all time in money won and 10th all time in races won but NOBOBY would dare go near him with a grand circuit drive for much of that time.... now why is that ngc3
