The lease is for 30 years. There may be options for the lease to extend or renew. As for selling; it is the New Meadowlands LLC., that owns the licenses and brands, not the State. The company can sell their interest within the restrictive covenants of the lease, if any.
I would also almost guarantee you there is an exit plan for the CEO/ majority share holder along with a life insurance plan. It is all part of common business practice.

THE BUSINESS IS COMPLETELY SEPARATE FROM THE OWNERSHIP OF THE PROPERTY ----I AM 100% SURE THE LEASES CAN BE EXTENDED AND RENEWED AND TRANSFERRED -----AT ANYTIME. FURTHER, MR. GURAL, I AM VERY SURE WOULD HAVE AN EXIT STRATEGY IN PLACE FOR ESTATE PLANNING OR IN THE EVENT OF A SALE. PLEASE RECALL THE LEASE AS WELL AS THE OWNERSHIP LICENSES, ETC. ARE TWO SEPARATE ENTITIES OR QUITE POSSIBLY MORE THAN ONE ENTITY.
IN EITHER EVENT, THIS ENTITY WOULD BE SOLD IN HOURS FOR A PRICE IN EXCESS OF ONE BILLION DOLLARS. PERIOD. THIS WAS A PHENOMINAL INVESTMENT FOR ALL OF THE OWNERS INVOLVED.
