Before this group of proven thieves, Michelle employed some solid, old skool trainers. I guess she was not satisfied with the performance of her horses. So, as an astute professional Human Resources and recruiting executive, she called upon her skills and experience to hire these trainers with a reputation of cheating to get in the winner's circle.
There is no way this self proclaimed Human Resources expert did not know how her recent hires obtained their record of success and cheating. Carrying on the tradition of class and integrity her inlaws founded and ran their business on was not satisfying enough. To continue to spend and collect horses at the rate her appetite for recognition desired, she needed a better cash flow. Hiring her band of thieves was a calculated investment, bourn by greed and self importance. Nothing less.
