maiden trotter last qua 25,4 wow
26.1
-
horse looked good but anyone who pays more than 75 to 100 at this point could be throwing away alot of money
-
Watching the race, you can see how much different a trotter that one is vs the others. Head lots lower, sound as a dollar, and determined. Little urging also.
Tougher crowd next out I'm sure. Will see where this one ends up after a mile around .50 or so...

Go offer 75k,,,,,he will laugh you off the farm,,,,,If he beats the Golds it's 60k
-
very impressive
lets see what he does in the next few starts
as a comparison stravinsky won the first race that night in 154.3 on the front
they are both 3 yr old colts
-
Hopefully he puts someone else up & not use Zeron....

I actually don’t think Zeron driving would be the worst of the bunch to choose from. He usually drives them in the final quarter and won’t use that hard.
Christoforou, Mayotte and the likes would be great for A young trotter and wouldn’t abuse (not saying they are great for the bettors)
-
always proceed with caution
its a homebred from a rather average maternal line and he is the oldest foal of the new sire and a 3 yr old unraced at 2
not suggesting he isn't or wont be a nice horse but i suspect he is not staked to the hambeltonian

Fair, with the exception that he don't know how he's bred. Could just be all trot.
-
he will be a world champion
-
He was under little urging, but had clear sailing when three horses broke early on. Could be special....too early to say
-
race #4 tonight, let’s check him out again, hopefully he’s not 15 off, let’s see how he looks up in class!

gets beat
-
Let's see track picks low odds everyone's gonna key what if the go fast and hes last gets parked then what not the win will be 2,3, then last week slow half three breakers was easy Stearns everyone' else no horse left. I'll pass at 2/5 if I'm wrong so be it
-
Dang spell check u know what I'm saying guys not a sure thing
-
Pemberton will be a world champion
-
The Georgian effort was impressive as well. Barring any huge road trouble, Pemberton wins again tonight, despite the hike.
-
showed tonight to be a total superstar!
-
Wow nice animal two moves
-
Like a machine ,,,WOW
-
He would beat Mack Lobell by a 1/16 of a mile
-

-
thursday mohawk trevor henry up look out
-
yes sorry tomorrow.
-
1/5 and toyed with the field. Easy, easy winner.
-
Just another training mile...
-
Back half 55 and change?
-
Makes it look easy. I'd love to sit behind that one
-
nice horse no doubt, a gelding of moderate breeding
just beat a field of 3 yr fillies , some mares and some average horses
154.4 is a nice mile, would be about the 78th fastest mile by a 3 yr old trotter(both sexes) so far in 2020
needs to drop a couple of seconds to be even considered
-
true comments
lets watch with interest
-
Could reel off many if properly dealt with and racing luck.
-
When does he try the Gold types,,,,,

Handy in .51 and I'm sold. They say time don't mean nothin...guess again.
-
Big step up tonight, taking on gold colts in race #2 , definitely won’t be 1-5 tonight. This should prove a much better measuring stick for him...

Playing the #3 Hayek
-
Wow. Now I’m a believer.
-
Pemberton,best trotter that ever lived
-
He passed that test with flying colors
1.52.2
-
just playing with them - very impressive
-
5/2 is a gift from the gods.... I thought he’d be 3-5
-
Pemberton would destroy Peace Corps
-
I told yall he was gold
You did? I still can't find the post.
Was it in another thread or a different site?
-
Just getting better each week
-
Is he Hambo eligible? Would love to see a horse with his connections try to break up the usual suspects you see in it year after year
-

I believe he's only staked to OSS program and the Dream Of Glory trotting series at Hanover.
That series starts this weekend but Walker says he'll skip it and concentrate on OSS.
-
firhill, read page 3....
Gotcha.
I was going off the following post where you thought he got a cheap win and wasn;t even worth $100k
IMO 75-100 best
remember that 2 nice trotters jumped at the start and left him a clear path
He definitely closed with a nice kick but not a 200k kick
-
Toughest match up to date tonight at Grand River.
PP#8. Hayek, Horse Trader, HP Royal Theo and the likes all drew inside of him in OSS Gold.
-
Paul Walker tested Pemberton with a qualifier over this track..........'called " training"..and being preparedhttp://
Here is the program....he is in the last race
https://grandriverraceway.com/horse-racing/programs/
Trevor Henry was top driver here for 4 years..he knows every inch of the track
This trotter is for real
-
what a RAT!!No excuses accepted
-
I think 6 wide on the first turn from post 8 on a half into a track record qualifies as an excuse.
-
what a RAT!!No excuses accepted
They went in 1:53.3 ....3 year old trotters on a 1/2 mile track...a track record and Canadian Record
And he had the 8 hole....and had to go around / watch out for 2 breaking horses
When Trevor knew he couldn't catch the first 2 horses...he did not gut his trotter.....aka Joe BONGO
The OSS does have some very nice 3 year old trotters.........
I can't wait till they draw in same division at Mohawk WDB
-
Hey good topic everyone ! ( let's keep the mom's basement and cocksucking off this thread )
Yes - he was carried wide into first turn
Yes - he had the 8 hole
Yes - it was a track record
But - He did slide into the 5 hole pretty decently.... He did sit till past the half and had live cover to follow.
Yet - he looked like at no point was he a threat to pass the top two at any point.
Flip the post positions and give him the rail --- does he win maybe, but I doubt as impressively....
Next start should be interesting..... I hope he does well, good story and horse to follow.

There are 5 very nice horses in that field. Hayek, Hot Weelz, Moon Bridge and HP Theo are all as good as - or close - as Pemberton.
Pemberton's just got that 'off the pace' fan appeal. He's good but those first 3 wins were all cupcake trips. He WAS impressive the race he blew by Hayek in late July.
They're all close enough that to me it's all trip and pace. I'd bet any of them at the right number if they race back at Mohawk, especially Moon Bridge.

There are 2 Gold legs left and a Final...for these trotters
September 28............... ..........October 8...........and the Final
October 17............... ..All 3 races will be at WDB/ Mohawk
Too big a gap...they will all need a start or 2 to stay sharp over a 30 day period
-
And don’t forget his individual time was 2 seconds faster than previous track record for 3yr old trotter. Set last year by Forbidden Trade
-
i like the way Travis wasn't slashing or pushing Pemberton the last 1/8 when it was clear he'd be no better than 3rd. Some drivers would. Henry is a great horseman
-
or, maybe on this night the horse on the rail was just a better horse given all things considered
your talking like pemberton is mack lobell
-
I love the way the little guy stretches his neck out when hes racing.

Trevor, not Travis

Normal service has been resumed.
After tonight, I'd say they're all racing for 2nd money on Oct 8 and Oct 17.

This is such a nice colt and so well managed. I like HP Royal Theo, but this colt is just better. The only thing I can poke holes in, he's been so conservatively managed I am not sure he can carve out his own trip. Maybe he can and they just haven't made him do so.
This leads me to the next logical breeders question - is he an anomaly amongst the Wheeling and Dealins? Hot Wheelz is another decent one. If you were breeding Canadian trotters who would u go wth for value?
-
See Pemberton jog
-
What a nice colt.
Still wondering what happened to HP Royal Theo who might've been able to stay with him a bit, but the way he drew off, no one was beating him tonight.
He is a little bitty thing. As a gelding I'm sure he is moving to the open ranks next year. Hope he continues to do well.
