Prices looked really low and that's even at the top. Big buyers seemed absent. Might have to do with BC elims today and tomorrow. Grapevine was they bought 1 Swan not sure which but wish them luck. 2nd day will be interesting if it's like the past couple sales Lex, and London where the prices fell out of bed. Looks like Barnard spending some nice money and re-invested in a few.

Really Andy, I believe we know that those three sires don't sell or stand in IN. However for years there are plenty that sell in the 90's and into the lower 100-110k range. Don't forget just because those sires don't sell in IN doesn't mean the fastest pace, fastest colt&gelding trotter, and also the home of one of the fastest mares H Hanover. So nice try the sale was not like the last few years. I guess well see when the averages are post for 1 one. The Delong family has been prominent in IN probably more so then anyone name the last 5-6 years and they bought very little. It's unlikely they get outbid on what they want. Poster asked for observations and that's a few things I noticed. Once again thanks for pointing out MH and SBSW doesn't sell in IN. Key observation. I think the better point you could have made and more realistic is IN doesn't have the bluegrass mares of Lexington KY or the mare band of Hanover Shoe Farms.

There was a announcement before the sale that more money wss be added to sire stakes. Couldn't hear much of the details.

Prices at the top where off some from a year ago but overall the first day was down just a fraction amount at 1.5% lower from a year ago. Ave was 20,299 this year. See what happens tomorrow. Not as bad as first glance.
