The Earache Returns
« on: April 22, 2021, 01:19:57 PM »
Just saw on the U.S. trainwreck Association website that the earache was given a job in southern Maine to "call" races. Thank God there is a mute button.

     Sincerely, Silent One

Just saw this on the USTA news page

http://ustrottingnews.com/ehrlich-gets-the-call-at-cumberland/

He claims to have been back up at Fryeburg......... ................. ..I only recall hearing him doing 1 day  every other year ??

Wasn't he exposed here on Horseplop a couple of years ago.

Is the press release fact or fiction
Thanks

I'm glad someone is looking past Scott's issues with women and rage enuff to give him another job in racing. The tack shop idea has been a trainwreck.
Kathy probably is not happy about this news but Robin seemed ok with it.

cumberland should save money, have judge read changes and have no announcer. would be a much better experiance for the few fans that will be there.      the usta article was funny to read. he says what a great handicapper he is and he will bring info to light that is not in the program. question whats a cal guy gonna know about maine?

Why isn't Mike Cushing  not the announcer. He is the best in Maine and  his knowledge of trainers and owners is a big asset to an announcer ........and to the public...and adds to the presentation

He currently has Steve Wilson driving his horses and doing a good job

It would not interfere with his horses racing at Bangor or Plainridge

Its not like being a judge and having a family member racing where you work...which makes you take  a seat for that race

Unless of course.......Mike is going to be in Cumberland Administration .....which would be in conflict with his position in the Horseperson Association

May is only 9 days away............. ................. ..........who will be running Cumberland

new england racing is off too a good start. i hope cumberland does well. while new in some respect cumberland is still bringing in people with baggage. yes some new good but still some bs too. like the race sec, think a good hire. judges or shall i say judge ok, as two associates i did not know even had licenses. announcer is thumbs down. all in all not too much above the downs. still scratching my head on a cal based management team and why no otb after they were licensed to be one.
