According to this guy. Johnny Turner
This week Majestic Man has been the subject of massive interest from North America. The initial figure discussed before the horse came out and bolted-in in a Group One would likely make Majestic Man's price tag the biggest known for a gelding of either gait in NZ history.
A potential deal was discussed but no formal offer was to be made until after last night's race (Won in Australia last night over 2240 meters, drew 2nd tier, then 2nd over and pulled to lead and won easy)
The idea of selling has already gone to a vote and the majority of his owners in the Griffins syndicate have voted yes
Nothing confirmed, next week should be a big one for his owners!
This horse is basically unbeatable over a mile over there. You could draw out in the grandstand and he would lead. He has that much speed.

Race 7 on this link if you want to watch last nights race with Majestic Man

Other Group 1 trots on the card too

He drives strait as an arrow and only ears brace bandages behind. Hopefully he comes to the USA.

I totally agree, 1;58.1 would make him pretty competitive at Monticello. They have some real mutts over there.

Hey Dumbass!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is the speed rating for the entire distance which was over 3/8th of a mile further. Miles down there account for less than 10 percent of the distances they race. They drive to win down there not to see how fast they can go and lose. You may have noticed they produce good drivers down there.

He does have the track record for that distance at Melton but his best mile time only equals 53.2 there (5/8 track ? )and his overall record does not show a super high win percentage. How is he going to compete against the North American stock if he comes here?
From what I remember the only down under trotter that was or is even competitive against open trotters is Majestic Player A and that was only last year.

Time will tell. He is the perfect horse to come over here. He is about the 3rd best trotter in NZ but the best over a mile which they only race over a couple of times a year. We will see who buys him but if they are offering huge money, they too must think he will do well over here. Hardly any of the top trotters from there come over here and as far as the pacers go, only in the last three or four years have the better ones started to come over. Who knows how they will perform as it's a totally different game and many of them don't acclimate but I am betting if this horse comes over, he will do just fine as long as they don't run the horse when he gets sick as they all do.
Tony Herlihy has one (Bolt for Brilliance by Muscle Hill)) that will be winning everything over there next year and is already better than this horse over longer distances. He won a mile and 3/8th race, trotting his last half in 54 and change with a flat inside tire the whole journey. In the link below with the video of the race is a pic of the tube wrapped around the wheel.
IMO, there ain't gonna be a horse in the Southern Hemisphere go with him except Sundee's Son and he may have trouble keeping up.

When this mutt wins the Elitlopp let me know, when he races in the Elitopp let me know .

Trip race showed nothing to make us believe he is worth the money

This deal is off. Syndicate members had voted to accept an offer in the 500k range prior to Saturday night's win.
Changes of heart from both sides of the table have contributed.
The deal is in the rearview now and it’s on to Menangle for Majestic Man.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
$500,000 NZ is $362,000 USD which is a lot of money for this horse so no wonder there are cold feet. If it was for the 4yo Bolt for Brilliance then that is another matter. That horse is going to be something really special if he keeps improving.

No one with any brains would possibly think of paying that kind of money for that horse. Someone's info is way off, what a joke this whole thread is.
