Title: New Years Day racing
Post by: Wawajones on January 01, 2021, 07:00:36 AM
Can not believe that Freehold is only track running.  I know Monticheato, Northfield, Pompano and Dover do not race Friday anyways.  Ohio must be on break between meets, with Yonkers on usual holiday break.  Meadowlands has union, so extra pay for holiday?  Just seems like a missed opportunity and that a couple of the tracks would have made adjustment with Friday holiday, long weekend.  Oh well, I guess no one really cares or wants to make adjustments to promote.  It is a sign of where things have been and continue to go.

IT IS CALLED LEADING A NORMAL LIFE.  THERE ARE TONS OF BETTER THINGS TO DO THAN PLAY THE DEGENERATE HARNESS GAMBLER. GIVE IT A BREAK.  IT IS NOT ESSENTIAL TO LIVING.

HOPE RACE TRACK EMPLOYESS ENJOY THE DAY OFF FROM DEALING WITH ALL THE ASSHOLE OF THIS INDUSTRY

Don’t judge.  I would rather be a degenerate gambler than a “normal” person who doesn’t even know their gender.

Freehold - as the only running track today......

Watch a little Freehold and Aqueduct.... UC Bearcats take on Georgia Bulldogs at noon.   Game on

Race 1
6- not real familiar with TM ratings and how accurate they are but this horse two back in the 71.5 class won by open lengths, steps up to a 74.5 TM and finishes 3rd closing and now is back in the lower 71.5 TM
3- if he has enough speed it could line up 36 or 63 off the gate.
1- will get play due to rail but has not gained ground in the lane 9 out last 10 starts. Last start in the mud, couldn't really gain any ground off a slow back half in 1:01.1

Exacta 6-13   Box 36,  cheap tri 6-8-A
DB  6-6

Race 2
6 - hoping for a better price on a double than logical favorite and obvious horse to beat number 4

Never follow Freehold -- so watch these picks BLOW UP   ngc3

Why would any track hire an announcer with a speech impediment?  What a joke!  Is his salary going to help Jerry’s kids?  Is he married the the owner’s daughter?  Does he work for free or the state pay his salary?  This is a total joke.  It would be funny if it did not show the sad state of harness racing.  This guy would never have a chance at calling a race at an E level thoroughbred track.

In the 7th Race today at Freehold the winner was driven by the brother of the horse's trainer, son of the trainer of the horse that Placed, and own by his mother. All legit but funny!

yes agree should have raced. only freehold today. im not a big fan of the big m but i would have bet tonight. im harness bettor, watching dogs race after a fake rabbit. getting 2 out of 3 in each race tri. 1st and 3rd. might as well bought scratch tickets and gotten the misery over faster.
