WITH THE BIG M HANDLING 4 MILLION A NIGHT, CANADA SHOULD PUT A BETTER USE TO THEIR MONEY INSTEAD OF FUNDING HARNESS RACING
GIVE EVERYONE SOME FREE MOLSONS AND POUTINE AND A STIMULUS CHECK TO BET THE MEADOWLANDS
-
I HOPE THEY KEEP IT ON LOCKDOWN TILL EVERY HORSEMAN GETS VACCINATED
-
AT LEAST WAIT UNTIL THE WEATHER WARMS UP, SAY MAY

Goooooffffrrraaal llll should donate to the Ontario Horsemens Association. He is NO DOUBT reaping the benefits of racing being shutdown in Canada. He always cries for welfare, so lets see if he gives back 11.wp 11.wp 11.wp 11.wp 11.wp 11.wp 11.wp 11.wp 11.wp 11.wp

It's been said if Harness racing on a whole would like to be recognized as a sport then have a commissioner which all the other recognized sports do and then in all likelihood they all would be racing.
All the recognized sports have major television contracts. Who is paying for the rights to televise harness racing ?

wise up
mohawk was doing the largest weekly handle of harness by a huge margin
yes they actually race 4-5 times per week
gamblers gotta gamble so all these other usa tracks benefit as the $3-$4 m mohawk was doing gets redistributed
i assume handles go up even more after the super bowl

Did NBC not just last year sign another 10 year deal for the big T-bred races, but that wasn't really the point. Each sport has one voice unlike horse racing which has multiple voices who are only concerned about what's in it for them and they never agree with one another.
You just described the government, only they are more criminal.

Mohawk was handling 8-10 million a week.
Your arguement that the M is still something special is laughable. They are enjoying a great handle by default.

I’ve heard April 1st is the earliest they’ll be opening back up. If they’re indeed down for more then three full months, I can imagine the horse supply will fry up significantly.
