Post by: eyeinthesky on April 23, 2018, 07:08:46 PM
His horses show starts at PPk all winter.. He ships into Plainridge and picks up top drivers to drive his horses...when most of their lines are not that good

His horses race very good ..despite being off for a week or 2

He had a monster named Patriot about 20 years ago. Got him on the map. The horse set track records at Hazel and Sports Creek. This was back when 1:51 meant something

I bet Beach all winter.   Solid trainer from Michigan.  Does a great job.   Alive every week.   Trains for Piece of the Action.   No Beard

Eric was good long before Patriot . He was at the Meadowlands in the 80's . Cordon Cordon  was the first good one I remember .
I believe his stable made over a million 5 straight years in the 80's . BUt stats only go back to 91 so I cant verify . I was stabled near him
a few years , He was always my go to guy if I got stuck or had a question .

Beach was a judge in Minnesota and went back to training.   Don’t under estimate him.  He doesn’t need Pena

You clearly don’t realize that A piece of the action stable is Lou Pena and used Tim Maier until he left pompano and horses were transferred to Beach.

Good post...this story is taking some different routes....good guy.....Associate Judge at Minnesota........ .ties to Pena connections..Ruiz ...

This starts to explain why Merton ( at Plainridge) has been choosing Beach horses..despite bad recent lines.......over his go to trainer s  Monique Cohen and  Jackie Greene

Maybe that is why PANTS IS ON FIRE! Now he goes to FIVE tracks and wins everywhere!! Coincidence, maybe, but I am thinking not so much. tmbz1

So is that bad ?

He is not in the top 25 drivers with 500 or more drives. He has been a mediocre driver for years.
