Actually a good move for Joe. Gets out from under the family shadow, and make his own destiny.

Because the cost of living is lower?  The BonBon's live in Alpine if I'm not mistaken so somebody"s got some cash in that family

Is it possible he was asked to leave Yonkers?

"I do think I'll be able to fit in," said Bongiorno.
"I'm hoping that I can pick up some horses for the Ohio Sires Stakes," said Bongiorno. "I know Ron [Burke] has his regular guys, but there are lots of times he has most of the horses in a race."

I follow those tracks. Frustrating that seldom do they hang anyone. Will Joey be afforded those same holes? Colony can't match Meadowlands obviously [when they are actually there] but a number of capable drivers. Page, B Miller, Noble, Sutton, Widger, three Smiths [trevor, Tyler, Jeremy] Kaufmann, Both Hanners, Trace Tetrick [for now] Wrenn and Merriman [at times] I look for him to hold his own but not a huge impact. He could be right about Burke and O.S.S. races though. Will he go to any fairs? Don't laugh. As good of purses as Monticello, Freehold often times.

Certainly not a step up.  Hard to understand.  Is he taking horses ? Who will Bob. Errrrr Jen get to drive. Will the horses race better without all the jumping around in the bike.  Who will the next beard be ?    In time we will know..

Like him or not, think he's a good driver or not...if Joe believed in himself, which he obviously does...AND he thought, felt, or was concerned, that something might, could possibly, even if it were a remote possibility, something could go down, with his sister, or his dad, or person or persons related (meaning involved, not familial)...do you think he wants to risk or potentially lose an entire career as a catch-driver...over that?

Joe has seen the way Scotty Zeron has come up and how he built a career, how and why he came to the Meadowlands. He's seen the way Doug McNair has come up and how his career has developed while staying in Ontario (forget about any comparison between Doug's father and Joe's father! Keith Waples bought yearlings and gave them to Gregg! Go wait for the day Keith Waples, or John Campbell for that matter, gives horses to Bob Bongiorno!). Doug is getting calls from American trainers who ship north of the border,, he's driving O'Brien Award winners, and not for his dad (one being an American trainer too!), and he's getting some top, grand-circuit mounts. Both these guys have top trainers giving them business. Not their own, not their sister, not somebody connected to their dad, and so on.

If nothing happens, so be it. OH, Indiana, PA, whatever. Doesn't matter. It won't be permanent. But leaving, may be the smartest thing he's ever done.

East coast fbi sweep coming again

In about eight months

Smart business move

The kid is smarter than he gets credit for

Big news coming out of Yonkers in late spring

Will spell trouble. For most of those red hot barns

Phones have been tapped.  Cameras everywhere unsuspected

Matter of time

Kid did the move.  Before the move  tmbz1

He’s going to do well in Ohio.  Three tracks yr round purses are great
Plus jug week

He's no where close to the talent Zeron has and never will.  Joe has no brains and no class.  He will fit in with the Ohio hillbillies well.  Once he get's his ass beat for mouthing off he will come home with his head tucked.

I don’t see Joe getting quality unless the regulars out of town.  The same trainers have been using the same drivers for years.  Will Joe get drives yes will he get quality drives I don’t think so
