With all these new Sports Channels screaming for content why can't the USTA at least pay some money to one of them and televise the Jug live??? NYRA does this and they broadcast just a normal Thursday at Belmont and Saratoga (on FSN 2). If they ever want to grow the sport (yes I know it's a dying game) they need to get it in front of people. The USTA should join forces with a betting service and advertise all the races and maybe get some people to open an account and bet on it other than the diehard horse bettors.

I want to add a note to the cameramen. When you go get all artsy and do a tight closeup of the leader, then the second horse, etc., one loses the ability to see who is making moves from the back. A reminder that this is not the Cannes Film Festival, so abandon the dreams of awards, and shoot it like every other track in North America (and probably Central and South America, too).

Delaware is a great opportunity to showcase not only grand circuit horses, but those bred here in Ohio. Going over races and results, and listening to trainers remarks, it seems as though the Midwestern programs are really starting to gain traction across the country with alot of Ohio and Indiana breds making their marks in marquee races.
Going forward, is the future of the grand circuit program, save a few mainstay east coast stallions, going to see an influx in Midwestern horses? Seems now more than ever they can compete, and more and more are popping up in Lexington and Harrisburg sales. Ohio/Indiana are much more affordable programs overall in my opinion. Would be great to see more try the big stages.

The very popular choice for most hated and worst race caller is Roger Huston. It's been this way for a very long time. He's gotten so much worse that people around him should convince him to retire. He's totally shot now.
So my question is this.... Why would Jason use a terrible radio DJ voice that really sounds nothing like him, and do an awful Roger Huston impression when he calls races?

the push for the ban on shock machines came from the vets themselves because trainers were buying their own and the vets were losing money.
