How Harness racing got here
« on: March 13, 2020, 09:06:56 PM »
Racing is doomed more now than ever. Slot money will be gone and Animal rights will completely shut it down.  Top 2 reasons.  Mega “juicing” trainers and corrupt commissions and judges. Everyone who knows racing knew they couldn’t train that many and have those results. The ones that stuck around got almost immune to it because when the juicers did get caught nothing or small penalties. If the commissions and judges did there jobs and nailed  the mega trainers with huge fines and suspensions like they should of not just the small time guy making a living we wouldn’t be here. It forced almost all small time trainers to juice a little just to make a living and win a race or two and smart gamblers to say goodbye crooks. The we just work harder trainers will now hopefully all be behind bars which will be a fitting end too harness racing.

Time for a national racing commission to override all these useless state commissions.

sad but true. many small outfits left the business when they saw what these pos were doing. not only should they serve time but never get a license again and all those horses in there care should have to be disqualifed from purses. make the owners, who we all know knew what was going on, have to pay back every cent of purse money. redistribute it to all the rest of the finishers in those races. let the few honest trainers and owners get the purse money the should have won if it were a level play field.     as for gaming comissioners and top level regulators who did nothing it should be jail time and bye bye state pensions. i have said that forever anyhow about the dog tracks. the do gooders who have pushed to get dogs eliminated allways said how bad the dogs are abused but never once did any do gooder  even wisper that the state officals overseeing it get charged.  now its the same here. lock up the comissioners and state vets who did nothing.  horse dies at track is supposed to be investigated yet they never find any evidence of drugs. i guess they need to revive perry mason.

Wxactly! The commissions, especially the PA and NY commissions should all be facing jail time as well. They have been playing the pick and choose game for 20 years or more. Let the big barn off and fuck the little guy into the ground. They created the monster!

yes, the attitude that the comissions have had is or should be embaressing.  big trainers with tons of horses that run their eyeballs out yet look in the winners circle like they could do it again in the next race, get away with everything. small timer with few horses get the book thrown at them for the smallest rule broken. racing was much much better when we had what seemed like an unlimited number of trainers. more horses back then too.
