i have bet the horse twice before and it just could not finish off the mile
have to go to the well once more with carmen and lasix

Whip and brown jug seem on point with HPP in 8th: close 3rd in P3 pool despite 12/1 ML, opened @1/1 with modest pool, and CA going flip flop to aluminum, which I’d guess means either horse seems to have healed  or CA is giving him more comfort for soreness.  If he doesn’t win today then I definitely agree with Whip that he would be an even more solid play at higher odds next week.

Maybe a new angle if #10 Fool Me Once wins the finale:   Brad Grant moved the horse from Moreau to Shepherd.  Slightly underperforming this year on a prorated basis, but went sub150 LY.  Grant owns most of Moreau’s Sat nite condition stock.  The horse usually lingers, but blasted from post 8 a few back.  Looks like current slight favorite in late DD pool.  I’m guessing he blasts and wires field.
