This race was ran in Australia on 16th February. This is a lead up to their Miracle Mile for $750,000.

Natalie Rasmussen was suspended for two months driving Chase Auckland who was in the 2 hole and finished totally full of running and way, way the best IMO and would have won for fun,. They charged that she failed to go up the inside of the leader.  She has been allowed to put off her suspension so she can get off Chase Auckland and drive The Fixer who she says she can beat everyone in the field by leading all the way in the Mile coming up this weekend.

IMO, she should have gone up this inside and won the race so those that bet the horse should be a little pissed off. but 2 months is a little overboard.

They don't fuck around in Australia with penalties.

Yeah, I missed that.  She gets fined a lot

She got fined $400.00 for whip violation on The Fixer and when the same horse won the NZ Cup she got fined $2,500.00 for excessive use of whip over last 1/4 mile (400M)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Winning driver Natalie Rasmussen was fined $2500 and handed a two-week suspension for excessive whip use on Thefixer near the finish of Tuesday's $800,000 New Zealand Trotting Cup.

Not only Rasmussen, but Sydney reinsman Todd McCarthy on the runnerup Tiger Tara also fell foul of the stipendiary stewards and was hit with a $1000 fine for the same offence at Addington in Christchurch.

Chief stipendiary steward Nick Ydgren confirmed both drivers exceeded the permitted limit of 10 strikes in the last 400m: McCarthy with 13 and Rasmussen with 12. Both drivers admitted the breach of rule 896(2).

I didnt see the head on shot--there is no passing lane-so didnt look like there was any room for her to get through. 2 months??wtf?? If there was a huge gap-yeah-blatant non try-but hard to tell unless you see the head on.
