I know people who were very close to John Gotti. They told me there wasn't a more friendly guy. Sometimes, when he would leave a restaurant, he would pick up the tab for everyone else there without them knowing until they were ready to pay. The point being, nice person does not equate to law abiding person. Rene Allard is a flat out criminal and needs to pay for his actions.

Breeders ….  I seem to remember one farm who employed Josh and Traci for years as their head trainers and then in 2018 and 2019 a guy named Dowse.  A NY based operation as I remember.

a few weeks before rene allard was to guest speaker in april in prince edward island another announcement came. Announcement that very skilled eastern canadian driver gilles barrieau was gonna be fulltime in pei this upcoming season..a very skilled performer....
Wondering from a distance if rene had 'stock' plans for gilles and other top drivers there this year, though purses there, outside a handful of races, wouldn't really be that enticing to our newest arrestee. Possibly r.a. was just coming for a speech and some drinks...or (just damn the purses, perhaps in hindsight, intentions for r.a. were to find another 'more out of the way' place to 'testdrive' some more 'chem' for u.s. t'bred friends.

but oops..jig is up...we'll never know.

and now ..nobody has any clue whats next.

Please don't associate Gilles Barrieau with Allard who has never used him on any of his horses in the Gold Cup races.  I know Gilles personally and he is all class and besides he has been the leading drive there for years when he drove full time.  HE hasn't raced full time there in a few years hence the announcement.

Just a case of allard the snake getting an invite down there...which is hard to believe to start with, considering his checkered past and present.

regardless..u.s. authorities banged him hard..and should be enough to stay the hell away from barrieau and any other top pei performers there.  No telling what this character's plans, if any, were.

He trained and drove a 3 year old for Allard last year

That is a very legitimate concern. I guess they will pass them in one at a time. I would think at the very least, Allard will never be licensed again or allowed back into the USA when he is eventually deported. Although this is harness racing, stranger things have happened.
